Change the logo all you wish but please do not delete or alter any of the copyright data. The developers of php created this at their own expense and they are entitled to at least receive the legal credit for having done so. Removing this rather non-obtrusive small copyright is unfair to them. This ...

Yup, it's true. BTW, you spelled upgrade wrong in the title

Thanks you are correct. BTW, there's a "period" (.) after your above sentence following the word title.

Smooth upgrade transition to 2.0.17 !

I was one of the many who experienced a loss of ACP with the prior transition from 2.15 to 2.16. I simply want to report to all that the latest upgrade to 2.17 apparently doesn't have that same loss of ACP issue. At least it didn't for me. Hopefully this might serve to ease some peoples mind after e...

Also take note that your newly installed version 2.16 will no longer have the 2.16 version shown at the footer of your pages. It can only be found at the footer of you ACP. This is an added secruity measure so that hackers won't know what version of php you're running. You should be "reasonably" sec...

Well the reason is clear. You've been running a very old version (2.10) of php that was very "hackable". You need to be running version (2.16) at this point. Hopefully, you have been regularly saving "back-ups" of your board. If so you simply need to reinstall a fresh back-up and immediately upgrade...

Well the childish nature of this just gets better and better. So you like to compare who has more posts than who? ("My dog's bigger than your dog!"). Ok fine. It is been my experience that there are two ways to "run up" Post Counts . . . contribute often in a constructive way as many here do or simp...

Actually I disagree with that last suggestion. People who are having similar issues have every right to chime in on a topic. The issues do not always necessarily have to be precisely the same. The very reason we are all here "together" in a help based community forum is to "come together" and share ...

This same issue of being locked out of the ACP following an upgrade to 2.0.16 has happened to a lot of people (self included). I managed to resolve my issue (see below): http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=302331&highlight= However, while this latest upgrade seems to be a relatively small one...

Well let me follow up to my own post. I rolled back my board to one hour before the upgrade from 2.0.15 to 2.0.16 via Yahoo Webhosting Snapshot restore feature. This should have fully reverted back to version 2.0.15 (the version in effect at that time). However, I have once again gained access back ...

Locked out of ACP with 2.0.16

My board has no mods. I had a perfectly good running clean version of 2.0.15. I downloaded the Changed files for 2.0.16 and inserted all the files in their appropriate directory. i then uploaded the "install" and "contrib" directories and all their files. I then launched the update to latest version...

Unbelievable . . . just follow what I told you and you'll be fine. Private message me to undo the mess if you do anything else....unreal. The key here is "Yahoo", which is going to give you by default version 2.0.13. Start with a fresh copy of that . . . then follow the upgrade procedure as I laid o...

I too have Yahoo for my hosting server. The following instructions should do the trick. I'm assuming you're starting from a fresh copy of 2.0.13 with no "Mod's" (special modifications). Here is the procedure: 1) Download the v2.0.15 Changed Files Package from the download section here on the php hom...

If you are the Administrator of your board then simply go into your Administrative Control Panel (ACP) and look in the left side panel for STYLES ADMINISTRATIVE then select MANAGEMENT. You should get a color chart so you can select which HEX Code (color Value) you want to insert. You may have to pla...
