Hmmmmmm . . . well at the risk of sounding overly simplistic . . . you might simply try switching "hosts" and seeing if a different service provider can render a more stable platform for your Board. I know it must really be disheartening to have done so much work on a board only to watch your partic...

Ah . . . the wonderful world of hip hop and rap (yawn). There really is no "one" manager here. This is an open source code that is overseen by a full team of developing people who are not paid for this. If you got banned from a particualr forum using the php software then you need to contact the "Ad...

Indeed the Cookie settings should also be checked by the original poster of the issue. The fact that all his board members are getting kicked off prematurely almost certainly makes me suspect the "hosting server" as the centralized culprit. Perhaps the original poster can post back and identify the ...

I did a search of this issue and found another backdoor method of configuring longer session times that another member posted (assuming you're using subSilver for a template): Look at templates/subSilver/admin/board_config_body.tpl for a line that reads: Code: <td class="row2"><input class="post" ty...

Ok then as I suspected something else is going on. I don't know of any other php settings for this. I suspect it's a server issue. Like I said hopefully somebody can post a solution.

Hmmmmmmm . . . well 3600 (seconds) should have given you 60 minutes of session time. However, you're saying you were only getting like 10 or 15 minutes. The issue could well be elsewhere, perhaps an issue with your hosting server having a low default session length. You might also want to check with...

I'm not sure if this is it or not but have a look in your Administrative Control Panel (ACP) under "Configuration" . . . scroll down to your "Session Length" feature and see for how long you have a session configured.

Ok. I think the "Active Link Color" button in the aforementioned configuration panel may be your only option for changing the color of the link. But this will make all the active links that same color. There may well be a more precise "mod" that may change ONLY the link color in that particular sect...

In your Administrative Control Panel (ACP), go to "Styles Admin" and select "Management". You will find the font color of the Category section to be under "Font Color 3".

You will find the background color of the Category section to under "Table Row 3".

I hope this helps.

Good advice all around. Opening up any forum to "ALL" users having a given permission is risky at best. If you have a specific person or two whom you know and trust you might consider giving them limited Moderator permission specific to "sticky posting". That way you would limit that right to only a...

You probably updated the board but forgot to delete both the "Install" and "Contrib" folders. Go to where your files are stored for phpBB. Locate the folders named "Install" as well as "Contrib" and delete them both. That should do it!

I was afraid of that . . . I watched you following that other persons advice and tried to stop you. My post told you to download the full 14 package but only INSTALL the "install" and "contrib" folders.

Let's see if Sonyboy can now unravel what he had you do . . . unreal.
