Re: Problem with the request->variable method

Off course. I am entering string in the field and submit. Nothing happens. Your text field is inside the block tables_team which means that this field can possibly appear more than once. Don't you have several text fields with the same name on the page? $submit_pl = (isset($_POST['submit_pl'])) ? t...

As you have an empty value, PHP receives an empty value if you do not enter anything into the text field.
Did you test entering some values?

Yes, you can try doing that.
It will be OK in most cases.

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1.8 Released

Which is the exact way that wordpress performs updates I believe. At first I wrote "just like in WordPress", but I checked out the instructions where a method similar to the one currently used by phpBB was described. Now I found out that localised instructions are not up-to-date. :D Yes, I meant on...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1.8 Released

if any files are obsolete they are not getting deleted during this process. That is true. And automatic update package checks for deleted files too... Each method has its own benefits. I guess in the end, it really doesn't matter since files that exist but are no longer needed are ignored by the pr...

Re: Extensions and version-check

But shouldn't say I am not using a stable release since I am using 1.1.0-b1 stated as unstable? I am investigating. No, at least not in the current implementation of version checking feature. If you use an unstable release - it means that you have already understood any possible consequences (bugs ...

No, it is not the phpBB branch but extension's branch.
Check out the wiki: https://wiki.phpbb.com/Extension_meta_d ... sion_Check.

Marco, have you tried my suggestion?

Re: Extensions and version-check

Marco, there are lots of examples around this board - check out extensions in development.
The best way for GitHub is to use the gh-pages branch. Check out GitHub Pages documentation.
Then you can simply use something like 3D-I.github.io as the domain name.

Re: Forum Rules

I don't know whether this link is automatically added by the Board Rules extension, but you can change it in forum settings -> Forum rules.
Simply use BBCode URL in the Forum rules text instead of specifying a link in the field "Link to forum rules".

Re: Multilingual questions

The attachment option displays a small size version of the image. Is there click functionality to open a larger (or original) version of the image that was uploaded? Just click on it. :) By default a larger image opens on a new page, but you can change this behaviour by installing an extension, e.g...

Re: Multilingual questions

Multilingual PHPBB member posts (Challenge: some form of google translate integration with new language MOD’s to support) I think that you can ask David about integrating Google Translate. Language packs only change the core text (menus, buttons, explanations etc) they do not translate what people ...

Re: Newly Registered Users

After I apply this fix will the users be automatically moved to the correct group? Yes, they will. On an unrelated note. When I log into the ACP I see this message or a message similar to it alot. And this was before I upgraded to 3.1.7-PL1 http://puu.sh/mVPvw/170932ef9c.png Why is this happening a...
