Re: Topic title & link only - RSS feeds

So, in this case, I can't display my RSS feeds, if they show all the articles inside.
Nobody has this kinda problem to solve?
All you publish your entire forum by RSS feeds too?

Re: One of my forum doesn't display its logo

It looks all ok, but it doesn't work, it doesn't display anything. I wonder if is there any condition to be applied in order to get 'overall_header' to display the logo, according to this expression: <a id="logo" class="logo" href="<!-- IF U_SITE_HOME -->{U_SITE_HOME}<!-- ELSE -->{U_INDEX}<!-- ENDIF...

One of my forum doesn't display its logo

I've just updated to phpbb 3.1.6 and I've realized that (only in prosilver) one of my two forum (one of my sites) doesn't display its logo picture. Can anyone tell me where the expression {SITE_LOGO_IMG} (from overall_header.html) points to, so that I could verify if there is any error in the image-...

Topic title & link only - RSS feeds

I need to customize my basic phpbb 3.1.6 (or my smartfeed extension) feeds in order to display only title + feedlink. Once I could get this setting a limited number of words in each feed, but I can see this option is not available neither in the basic environment, nor in the smartfeed extension. Any...

Re: Cookie-Law issue - some details

...I could link the whole (Italian) actual cookie-rule, published, last year, by the Privacy Autority No, I can find that myself. Have you got any examples of people who have actually been dragged through the courts and fined or had their sites torn down? We also have cookie laws in the UK but I ha...

Re: Cookie-Law issue - some details

I know you have posted on the 3.0.x forum, but there is a cookie Extension for 3.1.x https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2252041 Very interesting, but unfortunately I can't update to 3.1 because of the lack of a 'PHPBB-SEO with mode-rewriting' extension! :( There are loads of post...

Cookie-Law issue - some details

These days I'm committed with the EU cookie-law issue. At present I need to know about the cookies used by PHPBB (I use PHPBB 3.0.12). After opening the privacy zone, in Eudora browser, I've realized there are 4 cookies, listed as follow: 1) PHPBB3_CookieName_sid 2) PHPBB3_CookieName_u 2) PHPBB3_Coo...

Re: Need to log visitors

Yesterday I've lost a day in modding my forum and after I had to restore the databse and forum, after realizing there is not enough online information to cope with that mod installation-related issues.

Definitely a bad experience!
Bye.

Re: Need to log visitors

But how do you determine if a visitor is planning to 'attack' your site. I'm talking of bots (e.g. harvesters), and also others that are useless (mainly chinese ones); many crawl too frequently and I need to understand who they are, even only to disallow them in the robots.txt. All you can do is se...
