Re: Can anyone help me change this code?

Let's be honest, they'll just click back..... no.... instead of close tab....no.... :) That doesn't quite make sense but I think I understand you anyway. It would just look better to me if the redirect opened in the same window. It just looks silly opening in a new tab, imo. Is there no way around ...

Is there any way I can do that?
Disable the extension that is opening in a new window would be the obvious answer
I don't want to though, because the registration page is the only location where the extension gives me a problem. Is there no way to just modify that code?

Re: URL BBCode behaving weirdly for me

Turns out I may have to revert to using the old extension again, because of a problem with the more modern one, which is fine because I preferred having opttions in the acp, but now I'm back to my old problem. Why would a link through a word open in another tab as it's supposed to, but a link throug...

Subforums listing problem

I've got a main forum (A) accessible from the main index that has a subforum (B). B itself has three subforums. My problem is that I'd like B to be visible from the main index, but not any of its three subforums. Can anyone tell me which options I should select so that from the main index I'll only ...

if you are looking for below code line

Code: Select all

$html	= "$whitespace<!-- $tag --><a$class href=\"$url\">$text</a><!-- $tag -->$append";
then see functions_content.php#L853
Thanks for the help. Problem solved though. See last edit to previous post.

URL BBCode behaving weirdly for me

If I post a link like this on my forum, [url=https://www.sampleurl.com]SampleWord[/url] it opens in another tab like I want it to. But if I post the link like this, [url=https://www.sampleurl.com][img]https://www.sampleurl.com/sampleimage.jpg[/img][/url] it opens in the same window. I want all links...

Re: Is there a way to get avatars to resize on profile pages?

Can anyone remind me which file PayBas is referring to that I need to change?

EDIT: Never mind. Figured it out. It's styles/prosilver/theme/common.css

How do you remove the underline from a link?

I replaced all instances of the word "underline" with "none" in styles/prosilver/theme/links.css, purged the cache, and hit ctrl+f5 on the browser, but I'm still getting an underline.

Re: [3.1][BETA] Advanced Polls 1.2

These are different parts of the same issue. In the ACP Settings page, you may specify that the poll author may specify whether that particular poll will show votes or not. And if you choose to show this option, you may as well specify the default value. This is controlled together with the "Can cr...

Re: [3.1][BETA] Advanced Polls 1.2

Hi. There's something confusing me. There's an option with this extension to show poll voters, but there's also a permission in the forum permissions section of the acp to allow people to see poll voters. So if a group has permission to see poll voters but this extension's option to show poll voters...

It is entirely up to you. Never heard of it being a problem with phpBB.

I have topics with well over 10k replies - even over 35k replies and there are no noticeable issues.
Great, thanks!

Is it necessary in phpBB to close a topic if it gets too long?

I was told on a forum that uses another software that it's necessary to close and reopen a chat thread every 1000 posts to keep traffic in check and to lower the risk of lags. Is the same thing true for phpBB, or can a topic stay open forever?
