Re: To administer the board you must re-authenticate yourself.

I use CloudFlare and SSL perfectly fine without issue. Without reading through the whole topic, here's how to set this up. Install an encryption certificate in your host in cPanel. They should have the option for the free Lets Encrypt certificate. Once that's installed go to your board's ACP. Under ...

Re: Antispam bypassed?

There's all kinds of methods to the madness. I list two in my Sig below. In addition to that, check out CIDRAM at Github. You may also want to ban all temp email sites. There are lists on the Internet. I've done just that as a layer. So not only do you have to bypass CloudFlare, CIDRAM, the Sortable...

Re: spam posters

Did you try accessing my site with Windows XP and an outdated version of Firefox? If so, I see it was blocked. I don't allow very old browsers or OS's.

There are a couple of extensions here I have listed in my Sig you may be interested in. If you're website and PHP literate, check out CIDRAM over at Github.

Re: What is Gzip ?

Note, it can also be turned on server side too, if both phpBB and server are on it can cause problems, you should check with your host to see if it's turned on there. It's fine just leaving it to your host if it's turned on on the server. I was just going to say exactly this. In my case, the host h...

E-mail packet size

What exactly is this other then the obvious that it's packet size. I have mine set to 0 since I read someone say that helped with the E-mail settings. Whether I need it at 0 or not I don't know, but so far E-mail works with no issues so I don't touch it.

Re: Cannot send or receive board email (gmail)

I used to use my host's E-mail, but since I now use CloudFlare I can't since that will expose the MX record and thus my real IP will be known for attack. So then CloudFlare becomes null and void. If you don't use CloudFlare other reverse proxy then it would be prudent to just use your host's E-mail ...

Re: one of my users IP adress shows the same as mine

His registered address is the same as mine (which may be due to the fact that i used the the plugin "ACP Add User" where i registered the user myself, but the user has logged in several times since then, why is his IP address still showing as mine? You might want to check in with the author of that...

Re: Uploading to forum

Try what I use, WinSCP. They also have a help forum so don't give up and just learn. As to hacking crap, I have created a post on how to prevent that on my own site listed below in my Signature. Best of all, it's free. You can take it a step further and add the CIDRAM script. I can help you or so ca...

Re: IP Ban - to which IP actually?

For CloudFlare it's called mod_cloudflare for Apache or Litespeed. Your host should have this already installed. If not, I'd find a new host. If you insist on using that host without mod_cloudflare then there is an extension here that can help. I don't remember its name off hand now. I use CloudFlar...
