So what part of this no longer applies??? Test with EasyMOD preview mode - we are *NOT* requiring Authors to use, install, or endorse EM. But if their MOD fails to install [correctly] with EM on a virgin phpBB install then they had better have a darn good reason why ! EM will make sure the MOD obeys...

NightriderXP I think you have made your point. There is no need to keep on repeating it. As long as Ptirhiik's MOD remains in it's present state and is hosing peoples's board, the problem needs to be repeated until he does what is necessary to correct the problem, which he is clearly trying to avoi...

This should be updated to add one word to the above requirements to make it a bit more clear to stubborn MOD authors: Test with EasyMOD preview mode - we are *NOT* requiring Authors to use, install, or endorse EM. But if their MOD fails to install CORRECTLY with EM on a virgin phpBB install then the...

Insta-Deny™ Checklist We are now requiring at least a minimum amount of due diligence on the part of the MOD Author. Why should we commit our precious time and resources if the MOD Author cannot even commit to a few baseline requirements? We won't. Therefore, here is the Insta-Deny™ Checklist: Run ...

So which would take longer? Is it likely that a new version of EM is going to be released any time soon to work with YOUR MOD or would it be quicker to fix your MOD to install correctly using EM? The correction is simple and you could have done it by now. No previous version of EM would have handled...

So now how many lines of text have you written claiming that your COPY command is correct? You could have fixed your MOD by now and this problem would be corrected once and for all. It must be easier to fight about it than to do what is necessary to guarantee that your MOD will work regardless of wh...

Ptirhiik, they quit checking your MODs long ago, which baffles the hell out of me. Your MODs should all be thoroughly tested just like eveyrone elses. Just because you write huge MODs shouldn't make you exempt... You can continue to be stubborn about this, but you have been informed that your COPY c...

The copy command is not correct in that it instructs EM to copy ONLY the files and none of the sub-folders and sub-files. Ptirhiik, you know better, so I don't understand why you would intentionally make your MOD so that EM can't correctly install it. To fix your MOD, this is what you need to do: OP...

Ptirhiik, EM makes no mistakes. It does exactly what your MOD script tells it to do. Unfortunately, your COPY command is flawed and you only tell EM to upload the files in the root folder and none of the root's sub-folders or sub-files. EM doesn't make human errors. So if your MOD script is accurate...

T0ny, I applaud you for going that extra mile to make sure that your MOD plays nice with the others. There are several good MOD authors who would do the same and a lot that won't. I'm glad to see that you are one of the good guys... Your MOD originally did remove a variable that was part of the stan...

It is nice when the MOD author is generous enough to make sure that their MOD plays nice with the rest of the board and popular MODs, like T0ny has done here. It's too bad that there are some who won't go that extra mile.... I applaud those like T0ny who will... http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/51...

Keeping track of what changes were needed in each version could prove to be a daunting task after a while. I applaud the fact that so many upgrade from files were made available... Now if more MOD authors would get on the bandwagon, that would be very nice. They don't seem to be listening though... ...
