After upgrading to phpBB 2.0.15 and The Attach Mod 2.3.13, I get the following when I go to Admin Panel --> Attachments --> Control Panel: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_var() in /home/httpd/subdomains/forums/httpdocs/admin/admin_attach_cp.php on line 62 The other Attach control panels...

Thanks Geo. I was able to pull this off with the folowing code in viewtopic_body.tpl:

Code: Select all

<?php
if($postrow_i == 0) { $postrow_item['ROW_CLASS'] = 'row2'; }
$postrow_item['ROW_CLASS'] = $postrow_item['ROW_CLASS'] === 'row1' ? 'row2' : 'row1';
?>
A special thanks to CyberAlien for that one.

Skipping post row color alternation (but just once)

Is there an easy way to skip the color alternation of the post rows in a thread? Using subSilver as an example, I would like the first and second post in a thread to both be the lighter blue/silver color. After post 2, the colors should resume their normal alternation starting with the darker blue/s...

AdSense Leaderboard, viewtopic_body.tpl: IE user must scroll

I added an AdSense leaderboard after the first post in each thread of my forums. For some reason, in IE, the cell is bigger than the leaderboard and it causes the forum to be excessively wide and forces folks with lower screen resolutions (800x600) to scroll. This problem does not occur in Firefox, ...

Limited 30 Day Forum Access from Registration Date

Is there a mod whereby a member has access to a forum for a specified length of time (e.g. 30 days) from their registration date?

Success! I fully installed the Search Topic Title Only hack. I then made this change in search.php: Find: if ( isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['search_fields']) ) { $search_fields = ( $HTTP_POST_VARS['search_fields'] == 'all' ) ? 1 : ( ( $HTTP_POST_VARS['search_fields'] == 'msgonly' ) ? 0 : 2 ); } else { $sea...

I've taken a look at the Search Subject Only and Search Topic Title Only hacks. I tried to add portions of these hacks (I don't need to add this functionality to the search page itself; just need to be able to return search results via a URL) and define the $HTTP_GET_VARS like I did for the keywords...

I found THIS POST and tried to implement this: At around line 40 of search.php, there are a bunch of if and else statements. Find this one: if ( isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['search_fields']) ) { $search_fields = ( $HTTP_POST_VARS['search_fields'] == 'all' ) ? 1 : 0; } else { $search_fields = 0; } Then add...

have you tried it? that is the best way I know to see if it will work. You're right. I shouldnt be so lazy. Okay, it does seem to work as expected. However, is there a way to specify in the URL to search only on the topic title/subject, and not the entire message(s)? Also, how can I display the res...
