And the result from fetchposts.php will be similar to my example above? Is there a way to just install a subset of ezPortal as this is the only functionality I need.

Use fetchposts.php, its a file that comes with ezPortal I uploaded fetchposts.php only and received a "Hacking attempt" error. does the entire ezPortal mod need to be installed? It looks like there are a number of edits to key files needed to install that mod. Can someone demo the fetchposts.php ap...

Let me use topic #188831 here as an example. What I would like to do is display the thread within the red box below on a page outside of forums: http://gregblasko.com/other/thread_anywhere_example.png I would specify 188831 in the code. Even better would be the ability to simply have a "post reply" ...

In the Syndication category of the official MODs there is a MOD called Topics Anywhere, this should work Cool mod, MTbrain. But this is not what I'm looking for. Again, I would like to be able to specify a specific topic by topic ID on a page outside the forums, and then have the entire thread (ini...

In my case, it would suffice if I could just specify a topic ID in the page and the thread is displayed. Has anyone done anything like this?

Complete Topic Thread on any page?

Does anyone know if there is a way to "embed" a phpBB thread in any page on your site? For example, if I have a page with an article, is there a mod out there where I can include the thread body of a specific forum topic starting at the "new topic"/"post reply" buttons (actually it would only need a...

Both problems seem to be more host-related than phpBB related. Are you able to access the backup file through FTP? Nope. I just get a "550 filename.sql.gz: No such file or directory" error. I can't even delete it through FTP. I'm aware this may not be phpBB-related, but I'm trying to draw on the ex...

Automated Backup Problem

I can't seem to get this to work. Here's where I'm at. I have a shell script called phpbb_backup.sh as follows: #! /bin/bash BFILE=/home/user/backup/phpbb_backup-$(date +%Y%m%d).sql.gz mysqldump --add-drop-table -u user -ppassword database | gzip -9c > $BFILE uuencode $BFILE | mail [email]me@mydomai...

"You must select a topic to reply to" Message

A user brought this up to me and I tested it on my board with IE 6 and Netscape 7 and it happened to me to. Say, you're not logged in and you click to reply to a topic. It will then prompt you for your username and password. After clicking "Log in" it will then display, "You must select a topic to r...

Cool mod and easy to install! Thanks. However, I thought the quick_reply.gif image was a little ugly so I made a new one: http://www.gregblasko.com/other/quick_reply.gif It uses Trebuchet MS cuz I don't have Triplex. It would be cool if someone with Triplex could update the the subSilver SDK using T...

Another vote for phpAdsNew. I've been using it on my forums here for a number of years:

Just added the code to overall_header.tpl.
