Re: The requested user does not exist

I'd bet your intuition is correct and that accent in the username is causing the problem you are describing. May I suggest you rename the username in question... and be sure if you do, to notify the user (prior to making the change) so they don't attempt to login with an incorrect username. Hi bipo...

Re: Force Change E-Mail

This could be done with two ways. First, flag a user account as "Need to update email address" -> This would trigger a notification to a user when they log in and tell about the problem/make them change the address. second, when admin flags user account, it will disable all email functions to that ...

Re: PHP Warning in ACP - phpBB 3.2.5 and PHP 7.2 [SOLVED]

I resolved it by disabling the Language Packs module under general tasks from the ACP modules... ironically. However, since that was just a bandaid, I then applied the fix afore mentioned: https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/pull/5479/files

Re: Change Location of Post Buttons

echo everyone else's comments about the style author. this really should have been extracted to its own html file, but you can just move the entire ul into the div for the back to top button under the back to top link. float the ul and add some right spacing If only it were that simple... re-echo e...

Re: Having trouble with "404 not found" nginx issue

Nginx doesn't serve php files, so you may have a misconfiguration in your conf to call php-fpm or whatever you are using to process php files. It's improperly doing a rewrite ... giving you a 404 error because that URI doesn't exist. BTW, https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/blob/3.2.x/phpBB/docs/nginx.sa...

Re: [RESOLVE] Re: Error 404 on FAQ/app.php page

I found the problem ! :D It was in my apache configuration file. The AllowOverride option for my www folder was set to none, so the phpbb .htaccess file was totally ignore. So I change to All for the AllowOverride option, and all works perfectly. Thank you all for your help ! Thanks for posting how...

Re: Permissions issues/Forum Display issues ...

I stupidly was trying to change my user_id Can you elaborate " was trying "? Obvious suggestion is to undo whatever you did. Well thank you for the insight, I had that thought, until it was obvious that my brain malfunctioned. I changed my user_id back and it messed with stuff, I've optimized the t...

Re: Permissions issues/Forum Display issues ...

Have been trying, now that the optimize table is done to fix my issue... I've deleted everything out of my permissions column in attempt to reset it (just for my user) - as it appears other users may not be having the same issue as my founder account, UGH.... so, now i'm trying to reset my forum per...

Re: Duplicate Key in multiple tables during insert causing mysql 1062 error

Duplicate entry 'amandamc' for key 'username_clean' [1062] This should never occur, since phpBB always checks for a cleaned username thru the registration. Either the existing dataset got into the database bypassing phpBB 's functions, or parts of the registrations are modified. Yes, again, just li...
