Re: Url rewriter extension for Camo image proxy

OK, that makes sense now.

So were you suggesting that I should submit improvements to https://github.com/phpbb/area51-phpbb3/ ... /sslAssets ?

Isn't that the same as the first link in my OP? or have I misunderstood something?

Can you expand on that? What would you recommend using as an alternative?

Url rewriter extension for Camo image proxy

This (the phpBB forum) uses a Camo proxy for delivering images over a secure connection. It uses a phpBB extension to rewrite http:// image urls to be redirected via the proxy server. The phpBB "own" extension is here: https://github.com/phpbb/area51-phpbb3/tree/master/phpBB/ext/phpBB/sslAssets but ...

Re: Error when pruning (many) users

you are trying to prune too many at once and your server can't handle it. do it in smaller batches and is should be fine. robert I know that, but should phpBB warn me or restrict the number of parameters to a reasonable value? it gives no error indication or warning, the command just fails silently.

Error when pruning (many) users

We decided to prune users who have never been active. There are a lot of them (I have not counted but I guess a few thousand). The forum is running v3.1.9. When I run use the prune users function in the ACP, the script aborts and the apache log has the error: client 77.193.135.51] PHP Warning: Unkno...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.0-RC1 Released

Other open source projects that I am familiar with have minor releases with new features added, but in a minor release, binary compatibility is maintained, which in the case of phpBB would mean that well-behaved extensions and styles would not be broken by the added features.

Thanks. I somehow missed that.

A suggestion for an enhancement: Add the ability to have an text box on the donation main page that the user can fill in with a message to the administrator (or maybe optionally display on the donors page).

Re: [DEV] PayPal Donation Extension aka PPDE

I installed this extension (v1.0.2) on a test forum (v3.1.9), and when using it on my admin/founder login, it seems to work correctly, but when logged as a normal user, or as a guest, the Donations/Donors links in the header are not present.
I have tried with prosilver and we_universal styles.

Random database crashes with MariaDB - yum ugrade error

I am posting this as a warning that if you are running MariaDB on Centos 6 (and possibly other OS), that YUM is currently upgrading MariaDB to version 1.1.15 (which is an unreleased development version), causing random crashes every few seconds, minutes or hours. You can work around this for now by ...

Re: [BETA] Post Love

Hey, I have to apologise for suddenly disappearing before fixing up my proposed V1.2.0 but some personal issues came along... Then I had to do some paid work for a while...

Have you done anything with this? (I didn't see it). I may be able to spend some time next month.

Re: [BETA] Post Love

Have you reviewed the github message on your PR? Yes, I am working through fixing the broken tests, but won't have any time for a few days.
