Make ACP cookie configuration easier

<r>The current ACP cookie configuration page, although functionally adequate is confusing for many (especially new) admins and over the years has been the cause of a lot of issues with users (and admins) being locked out after installs, upgrades and reconfigurations.<br/> <br/> I would like to chang...

Re: User password length vs reset password length

I can understand the reasoning behind this but I would be more inclined to say that the reset password should use the minimum length that is set for the password rather than the maximum length. I agree with this and I have previously modded my boards to give random passwords of the minimum length. ...

Re: Images Hijacked by Photobucket?

I have made some minor updates to my image download scripts and extension. https://github.com/v12mike/fetch-external-images https://github.com/v12mike/imageredirect The operational changes are: The link extraction script now (by default) ignores pbpBB V3.1 format image links. This speeds up operatio...

Re: Images Hijacked by Photobucket?

Photobucket announced a while back that it is no disabling direct hyperlinking of images, meaning browser fixes were no longer required. However, quite recently they have started placing large watermarks on images saying "hosted by photobucket". When using one of the browser extensions to fix the a...

Re: Update the notification email system to be RFC2369 and RFC8058 compliant

meet the requirements imposed by major email providers such as Google and Microsoft Why not listing and linking them? Since these requirements change over time relative information about them is a bad choice. I could list them, but as there are several pages of such requirements, this did not seem ...

Re: Automated bounced email handler

Note that this idea is included in my proposal for improved handling of email notifications. https://www.phpbb.com/community/idea/2526 The receiving of emails is not difficult to configure as an external service (e.g. nodejs) that listens on an IMAP mailbox and forwards any incoming emails in an htt...

Update the notification email system to be RFC2369 and RFC8058 compliant

<r>I have recently had a significant problem with Microsoft mail services (hotmail.com, outlook.com, live.com, btinternet.com and others) not accepting emails from our phpBB server. Microsoft have told me it was due to too many users marking our emails as junk. It happens that the particular host th...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Image Redirect

I think I had the coffee-script warning last time I did a reinstall, but it is only a warning and I ignored it. I was hoping that it would be fixed upstream by now. The camo config for apache should go just under the </Directory> section corresponding to your phpBB site root directory. I can't ident...

It should be whatever is valid for whatever host has that avatar, My forum accept not a HTTPS avatar image.. I see direct this: It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the...
