The visual confirmation wasn't doing much for me either. I did find a great simple mod that simply asks the user to enter a "VIP code" that is located on the support page. Same here

I have the same problem with 2.0.11 and Firefox. I looked at the HTML and it seems that this is a Firefox bug since the correct value is there, but Firefox is replacing it.

Easy suggestion for language

Here is an easy modification that should be done:

Link text should never be "here" or "click here".

For example, change things like this:
$lang['Click_return_topic'] = 'Click %sHere%s to return to the topic';
to
$lang['Click_return_topic'] = '%sReturn to the topic%s';
