Often Asked To Login

Hello, When signed in as Administrator and making some changes I am often asked to login again to make the edit .. even though I'm already logged in. For example, yesterday I had been making a few edits logged in as Admin. I was moving a post when I was asked to login again to complete the change. I...

Hello Mick,

Ahhhh .. I cleared my cache and restored a backup this morning .. this must have undone my cookie change.

Thanks for letting me know and I must keep an eye on this.

Re: NRU Being taken Back to Login When Posting

And did you at the same time sort out the cookie problem that Mick mentioned above? If you did then that has probably resolved your problem without resorting to what you did. If you have not then be prepared for more problems. Hello David, Yes, we had added the dot and renamed the cookie as advised...

Re: NRU Being taken Back to Login When Posting

Thanks David and Mick, We have resolved the issues and my board is working normally now. Just as info for anyone else that might be having similar issues. We eventually found that one of the forums was working normally but the others weren't despite having exactly the same permissions. To resolve th...

How To use Change Time Extension ~ Uploaded and Enabled

Hello, Having uploaded and enabled the 'changetime' extension, where and how do I use this? I've searched my board for ages trying to find how to use it. I have added the permission in Global Moderators. http://www.michaelsroom.co.uk/addons/change_time_moderator.jpg I'd appreciate any help with this...

NRU Being taken Back to Login When Posting

Hello, Newly Registered Users are being taken back to the login page when trying to post. Also the newly registered users have the ACP link when logged in. I have cleared cache and cookies and permissions seem ok but, obviously, there must be an issue here. http://www.friendsofgarritan.com/community...

Your permissions are a mess :)

For anyone else with this problem, the NRU group was set so that their post count never went up, hence they never reached the one post needed to leave the group.
Thanks Kev

It's much appreciated.

Want to PM me an admin login and a link to the board. I don't mind having a look.
Hello Kev,

Many thanks for your very kind offer. I've sent you a PM with the details.

Michael

Re: All Newly Registered Members Posts Need To Be authorised!

Have you accidentally set all the forum permissions to be 'on moderation queue'? As I said, people will only drop out of the NRU group when they log in again after their required number of posts have been approved. Another 'knowledgable' person had changed settings when everything was working!!! He...

Re: All Newly Registered Members Posts Need To Be authorised!

Change one of the characters in the cookie name. That will kick everyone off and give them a brand new cookie. Hello Kev, I tried changing the cookie name but still the same result. Just to clarify, people can register but their first post has to be mod authorised. After that they should be removed...

Administrator Delete Users/Posts Error

Hello,

More problems.

Now I'm unable to delete posts or remove users as 'Administrator' or 'Moderator'. I keep getting errors similar to the following.

I'd be really grateful if someone knew what is causing this.
