Re: Restore To A Datasbase With A Different Name

You do need to make a database back-up first on your old host, you can use phpMyAdmin for that too. Read the relevant parts of this article: Knowledge Base - Transferring Your Board to a New Host or Domain Hello Jim, I do have a backup of my database and I did use phpMyAdmin Export to make the back...

Restore To A Datasbase With A Different Name

Hello, I have moved to a new host and have successfully installed phpBB3.1.9. I need to move my forums from the old host where I could only use phpBB3.0.14. I have made regular backups from there. My database is small and can be managed through phpMyAdmin. The new database with my new host has a dif...

Re: Moderator Queue Email phpBB3.0.14 Windows

JimA thank you for your reply; it's much appreciated. I wish I could upgrade to phpBB3.1 but, unfortunately, my host provider only supports php 5.2.5. I believe that 3.1 needs 5.5 or higher. I have contacted them and asked if they would upgrade. Looks like I'll have to go without this feature. Thank...

Re: Restoring Forums Backup Manually

Robert, thank you for your advice. I checked with my host and you're right, phpmyadmin is available with my package and I'm able to login and use that. Wonderful. :D Just for reference and in answer to your question. I was trying to install phpMyAdmin on a local server on my root C:/ drive as I didn...

I installed Apache 24 and it's working but when I install the phpadmin folder it just won't be recognised. I've followed endless tutorials and done everything as explained. I haven't tried t...
