if you look at the forums, its still in 2007, but if you click on the forum, ie, news and announcements you will see all the topics/posts...

the board wont allow me to sign in, reset password, or reactivate the account.

The board also has not updated with the database... what is going on?

How do I do this? I mean like I select them then click export, get the data only, then do an sql dump on the fuller database?

What happened is simple, our forums got pruned.

I have what I thought was a backup, which turned out to be an old backup

I have both databases, and my plan is to copy the new posts from phpmyadmin and insert them into the older database (the one with all the posts)

I have a forum, it got pruned, however, I did not have a recent update, there are about 2000 posts thats are not updated.

I want to merge the 2 together, manually. how ever, there are only 2000 posts, and I am going by post ID's and topic ID's.

This should be easy right? just time consuming?

Yes, this is something we are considering, expanding the whole forums back to look just like the phpbb2.

I am 100% sure it was not the passwords, as many users who used the forums contact me every so often asking how runehints is going. I would say about 40% of the active users.

Every designer we have had, who has tried, have given up... This is a message from one of our most active and loyal members... It is very interesting though, how everyone just left... Like bam... runehints died in less than 24 hours... Its weird But yeah... I see. And we cant go back to phpbb2 I gue...

WE have had 2k posts in nearly 2 years.

However, this could be down to 2 reasons, the forum software, or the design.

Yes, they was running phpbb2.

However they are now running a different system, and are even more popular.
