Re: Reset password emails not sending. Is it Bluehost?

Well I finally got around to calling bluehost. Apparently it isn't them. They say that there are no sending quotas on my account. I notice that the error only triggers when I am sending without port 465. I do port 465 with LOGIN and my mail username and password. It just hangs then and also doesn't ...

ACP Mass Email Send HTML code

Many emails I receive from sites have HTML markup of some sort for their newsletters. I would like to be able to have this in my phpBB emails I send to my users. How can I do this? I tried editing admin_send_email.txt with HTML but that obviously wouldn't work. Is there a file within PHPBB for this ...

Mass Email Template Variables

I recently posted this:
viewtopic.php?f=556&t=2412796
and learned via the thread that it was only 3.0 that had the feature (still not sure why it would be removed).

Could we get an extension for this?

Thanks!

Re: WYSIWYG compatible with phpbb 3.2

I was looking too, couldn't find anything. I read that WYSIWYG has its own security challenges with forums and is exploitable. Still though, I see it on other forum platforms (or at least I think I did?).

Re: Deleting Database Migration Safely Manually (not delete data)

Is not a good practise I can say. And without knowing what you coded is even more difficult to help you. I made sure I backed up to do it. It appears to be working even when I disable and enable the extension. I have about 10 migrations for the extension that add columns upon enable for first time....

Re: Reset password emails not sending. Is it Bluehost?

As another data point, I've got a board running phpBB 3.2 at Bluehost and to the best of my knowledge we haven't experienced any of the issues being reported. AFAIK our board is running smoothly. Oh yeah, Bluehost is pretty great for this so far. I am just having issues with this email thing. I wou...

Re: Deleting Database Migration Safely Manually (not delete data)

Oh wait a minute. I would do an update_schema() with drop_columns instead of add_columns ? Yes, and most probably, a revert_schema with add_columns as well. Otherwise, when you delete data for this extension, some migration may/will fail. As 3Di indicated, beware of dependencies! -javiexin Ok thank...

Re: Deleting Database Migration Safely Manually (not delete data)

you simply add a new migration file to reverse the action of the first one. So looks like I could create a new migration called remove_mistake_field.php with only a revert_schema() and not an update_schema() one? The users have data in there for a virtual currency system. If I deleted data for the ...

Deleting Database Migration Safely Manually (not delete data)

Is there a documentation page for deleting migrations safely with phpBB? I just have to delete ONE migration I did. I can't "delete data" for the rest of the migrations/extension either in this, so revert_schema() I guess won't be of use. I would: 1.) Disable 2.) Delete migration file. 3.) Delete th...

Re: phpBB User vote event - get voter ID

What do you want to do with polls? Take a look at the Advanced Polls extension, and you may find what you are looking for. And if the functionality is not there, and is general enough, let me know, and I might include it... In any case, you may take a look at the code to see where to get such infor...

phpBB User vote event - get voter ID

I need to get the user identifiers for people who cast votes onto a poll for my extension. It looks like there is a database table that records the info called phpbb_poll_votes , I can see user IDs and IP! I can't get it in any PHP events however. I tried core.viewtopic_modify_poll_data . I tried a ...
