My backup is 25.9 MB. Does this mean I have to go through all that and split it up into 26 pieces? There was a download on that page too, but it said it was corrupt when I tried to run it. Also - when I tried uploading my data-only backup, it said "The document contains no data." My backup is bigger...

So what happens if I open my backup in Notepad, copy it, then go to the PHP editor in my file manager and paste the whole thing into that box? Is that anything like what you're talking about? All it has in it right now is this: <html> <head> <title>Untitled</title> </head> <body> <? ?> </body> </html>

Database Restore problem - fixed...for now

Where to start... My website is hosted by SBC Yahoo. I'd appreciate help from anyone who has them, because if you're using something different, I highly doubt I'll be able to follow any suggestions, as I already have no idea what I'm doing, let alone will I be able to compare it with something else....

Is there anyone out there? I'm still lost...and I've tried everything short of making an actual real-life folder, opening up my tower, and inserting the damn thing myself.

Installing phpbb on current website

My website is www.spongemom.com and I want to have www.spongemom.com/forum added to that. I've downloaded the phpbb install folder, and when I opened and unzipped the folder, I get a bunch of stuff that I have no idea what to do with. I've watched the tutorial for installing ( http://www.phpbb.com/s...

What did you do? I'm getting ready to dive in to installing a forum on my site, and I'm trying to find out all the most likely problems I could run into, and how to fix them. Thanks! :)

Re: Required Fields for Registration

Is there a way to require First Name and Last Name at the time of registration? Frank I don't know about anyone else, but if I came across a forum that required both my first and last name, I would either type in something nonsensical, or not join the forum. Just something to keep in mind.

Under "Styles Admin", go to Management, then Edit, then down where it says "Font Colour 3", that's the color you want to edit. It will change the color of the main table header, and the Admin's user name will match that. I spent hours playing around with that and this is what I found out. Hit reply ...

you add these by using your FTP upload program to put the folder into your phpBB root folder's "images" folder. Once there, go into your ACP and open the smiles section. There, you choose "import smiley pak" unless i've forgotten a step, that's all you do Where is that folder??? I can't find it any...
