tried entering straight to scfba.net/forums/index.php and then logging and it worked. so, look at your entry url. then log in. see if it changes the url where the board itself is at. Nope, mine are the same. another thought. are they using firefox? that can be an issue as well. I haven't asked, but...

Login issue - some can, others can't

I've ran the Auto Cookie thing twice now, and some of my users are still saying that they cannot log in - they enter their name and password, click Submit, get taken back to the index page, and are not logged in, and it keeps happening even after they clear their cookies. I'm not having this problem...

Permissions module

In the ACP of phpbb3, I can access all the tabs across the top except the third one: Permissions.

When I click that tab, I get "Cannot find module, please notify admin".

Where might I find this module?

-OR-

Where else might I go about editing the permissions for groups?

I must have missed that message in my eagerness to get started playing around.

Deleting it worked, anyhow.

Install successful, but cannot view forum

The installation process went through (finally, after all this. ) However, on the very last page of the install process, it gave me a link to get to the new forum, I clicked it, and got a blank white page. Is there a step I'm missing? If memory serves, I think phpbb2 won't function with the Install ...

If you actually created a new database called "beta", have you assigned MySQL permissions to whatever user you want connecting to the DB? Also, once you have... you need to run the following SQL: FLUSH PRIVILEGES; This is what it shows under Privileges: http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/915/priv8d...

erm phpbb3beta_beta <---- never said that phpbb3beta_ <---- said that Oops... Ok, I tried that. I've also tried changing that little drop-down menu from MySQL 4.x/5.x to just MySQL and back, and that doesn't do it either. And on preview...I changed the prefix back to just phpbb_ (with nothing after...

you need to create an (empty) database for it to write to you could use the same database but change the table prefix for the beta install if you are only allowed one database on your hosting. However keeping the beta in another database completely would be the best option :0 Ok, in the screenshot ...
