Re: Ignore a topic

Thanks a ton for that Jim, I'll be making an extension that essentially blocks/hides foes from the forum for users and I'll probably use this as a base.

Re: Legal question

You're not going to be paid anything for appointing an admin who went rogue, especially with no real damage done, on a website of all things.

Re: Legal question

So you appointed an admin who went rogue and fixed all of his damage... what is a judge even going to rule? That things stay how they are?

Hint:

if you change the "topic_type" in the DB to 5 or greater (4 has already been taken by me :) and lower by phpBB)
.. automatically the topic becomes invisible in the topic list and all over. Check it out.
Per user basis?

So I took your advice and dug even deeper and decided to make events in the two sync functions instead as it covers fixing info for most mcp actions. Thanks!

Re: Ignore a thread

Well I won't be adding any of that. Sorry. Still iffy about hiding topics anyways.

[SOLVED] sql_build_array isn't working properly >:(

EDIT so it turns out it's working fine. Explanation: $sql_аry vs $sql_ary . What's the difference between these two strings? The first one has a russian lowercase а for some odd reason, and only that letter. I don't know why or how that happened. This can be closed  ---------------------------...

Re: Ignore a thread

Good, send me a pm if you'll do it. For "don't show up" i'd suggest to completely delete the thread from all the pages in the forum. And generate a page where the user can see all the "ignored" topic and decide to un-ignore them. My extension will not be to ignore topics, but may include a quasi ig...

Re: Ignore a thread

I'll be developing something like this soon, maybe. It would make it so that foes don't exist on your forum, and I'm still deciding whether that means that their topics don't show up in the forum.

Re: +1, Like, or something similar

Someone who can compile a list of all of the required options as a summary of these 129 posts? I mean not a mega-hyper-post ( that I probably don't read in full ), just an ordered and easy to read bulleted list of sort, thanks. :) I vote rxu does it since he's been managing thanks for posts and mos...

Re: Permissions from ACP shows up as their variable names?

So in the end, it really was the version of PHP I was using. The server isn't mine, and I switched from 7.3 to 7.2, and every single bug I had is now resolved. 7.3 just came out so there might be a couple things to fix to make compatible with it, iirc they might actually be, but I'm not sure what w...

Re: +1, Like, or something similar

Having that feature in the core may well increase the "need" for core edits by users. :? If phpBB decides to implement the feature, that should be taken into account (outweigh the advantages and disadvantages of core feature or extension) I'd say that if the feature were versatile enough then that ...

You likely need to resync posts/topics.

Re: Sync functions in core

Why not simply override the poster after a post submission to anonymous and store the post details (post id, topic id, user id) in your own table so an admin can still see who made the post. I've discussed your solution in the second half of this post. What's happening is this: when I do any mcp ac...
