I have found this has something to do with their personal firewall settings. However 15-20 connections shouldn't bring your site down, a below average webserver can handle 500 connections at a time.

but exclude some already registered users that also have the 84.128.xxx.xx IP, because they are from the same region. How can that be achieved? try uploading it as htaccess.txt, then chan mod it to 666 (if it needs to be written to), then rename it on the server side to .htaccess

if your webserver has phpmyadmin then use that to check to see if the database username is correct to the details that are in your config.php file.

The search system is very database intensive. Having stop words doesnt seem to be a solution but more of a temporary fix to deal with massive queries made to the database. Perhaps the search results need to be restricted to the first 10 pages of results. That $search_keywords field needs to be trimm...

No, I've tried doing that. When I lookup his name it says it doesn't exist but it does - it's still there. Is there another way I can get rid of it??
