Re: [RC] Hide BBcode

The Hide BBcode extension is enabled on my board (using phpBB 3.2.0). My findings? Sadly, it's quite buggy. Firstly, that extension cannot be coexist without issue with other ones such as Board rules and mChat. But the worst thing is that extension cannot properly handle multilingual boards: on my w...

play_qt_file in forum_fn.js : still useful?

Hello, In addition to many new features, phpBB 3.2 removes the outmoded media file formats support, such as WM, RM et QuickTime. Therefore, the size of the template file attachment.html significantly dropped (from 6278 bytes in phpBB 3.1.10 proSilver to 2423 bytes in phpBB 3.2.0). However, I noticed...

Re: [list] tag cancels any previous BBcode ?!

this is the intended behaviour (...) if you wish to have bold text then the text for each list item needs to be bold In phpBB 3.1, it wasn't needed to give bold/color for each list item. Simply put the entire list and its items within the BBcode tags and it was ok. When you updgrade phpBB 3.1 board...

[list] tag cancels any previous BBcode ?!

Hello, Unlike phpBB 3.1 and earlier, phpBB 3.2 cancels any BBcode effect prior the list tag... So, that text... [color=#FF0000][b]Here is the issue... [list][*]In phpBB 3.1, that text was in bold and red, but not on phpBB 3.2[/list] [/b][/color] ... becomes... Here is the issue... In phpBB 3.1, that...

Re: Which browsers are officially supported?

Thank you, Christian  Although it's not reported, I now believe the development team actually dropped Internet Explorer 8. How can I presume that? The new phpBB 3.2 introduces emojis, and these emojis use SVG instead of PNG: the vectorial format is supported by Internet Explorer since IE9 and...

Which browsers are officially supported?

Hello.

Which browsers are officially supported by phpBB 3.2?

The "Styles Submission Policy" hasn't been updated since the phpBB 3.2 release, so I don't know the answer.

phpBB 3.0 = IE6+ and Firefox
phpBB 3.1 = IE8+ and Firefox
phpBB 3.2 = ?

Thank you for your answers,

Re: [Release] Legacy (phpBB 3.1.10)

Here is the v1.1 of my style. There are many changes and improvements since the initial release: A more proSilver-like design, with the addition of quick links and search bar at the header, custom contact fields and topic tools on the topics' pages, several links at the footer's breadcrumbs, etc. Ja...

Is there a template variable to check the phpBB version?

Hello, In addition to a phpBB 3.1.x board, I manage a phpBB 3.2.0-RC2 one for testing purpose. I noticed the board styles designed for phpBB 3.1.x actually work fine on phpBB 3.2, unlike phpBB 3.0.x styles on phpBB 3.1. Obviously, there are some minor bugs but they remains definitely usable. About c...

Re: [Tips] No quote last post without extension

Hello david63 and thank you for the answer about the phpBB philosophy. Please note that my trick doesn't involve editing the core code (PHP files from phpBB package). It's much safer as that edits only two templates. When you upgrade the board, the default styles are automatically updated (without c...

[Tips] No quote last post without extension

Hello, I suppose that forum is the best place to talk about tips... Do you know it's possible to hide the quote button in last post without any extension? Open viewtopic_body.html and replace... <!-- IF postrow.U_QUOTE --> by... <!-- IF not (postrow.S_LAST_ROW and CURRENT_PAGE eq TOTAL_PAGES) and po...

[Release] Legacy (phpBB 3.1.10)

Hello everyone, I am a newly registered user on phpBB.com :). I am here to introduce my atypical style for phpBB 3.1.10 (fully compatible with phpBB 3.1.9 too). Its current name is Legacy (please note it's not related to the - discontinued? - Abhishek Srivastava's style for phpBB 3.0.x , it's a comp...
