Re: phpBB 3.2.1 : why hiding online registered users list?

Basically, the consensus was that the permission now respects the wording of the permission correctly, as setting it to "No" now actually means that you can't view the Who is Online list. This as opposed to the earlier behaviour where you only couldn't view the Who is Online page but could still se...

phpBB 3.2.1 : why hiding online registered users list?

Hello. I've tested the new phpBB 3.2.1 (currently in RC1 status). I've noticed a disturbing difference between prosilver for phpBB 3.2.1 and earlier versions. In phpBB 3.2.0 and older, when you browse a board as a guest, you can view the online registered users list at the footer (index_body, viewfo...

Re: [Release] Legacy (phpBB 3.2.0)

Thanks for your comment, PTRACER ! What extensions did you try to use? Please note my style is based on the actual subSilver2, not proSilver. subSilver2 is not compatible with many extensions, although some can work (e.g. board announcements). The goal of Legacy is providing a lightweight style usab...

Re: [Release] subSilver2, PHPBB 3.2.x

Shame, shame, shame  gorski posts a style which contains more than 90% of MY work ( Legacy 1.2.0, for phpBB 3.2 ) and he didn't even mention me! It's a lack of respect or an intellectual property theft. Actually, gorski created "his" style by using most template files from my Legacy style (com...

[Release] Legacy (phpBB 3.2.10)

Hello everyone, I've updated the Legacy style, originally designed for phpBB 3.1, to support the phpBB 3.2 enhancements. My board style for phpBB 3.2 is even more atypical than the earlier version for phpBB 3.1, because it's probably the only one based on subSilver2 (the official staff has dropped t...

Re: [RC] Hide BBcode

The Hide BBcode extension is enabled on my board (using phpBB 3.2.0). My findings? Sadly, it's quite buggy. Firstly, that extension cannot be coexist without issue with other ones such as Board rules and mChat. But the worst thing is that extension cannot properly handle multilingual boards: on my w...

play_qt_file in forum_fn.js : still useful?

Hello, In addition to many new features, phpBB 3.2 removes the outmoded media file formats support, such as WM, RM et QuickTime. Therefore, the size of the template file attachment.html significantly dropped (from 6278 bytes in phpBB 3.1.10 proSilver to 2423 bytes in phpBB 3.2.0). However, I noticed...

Re: [list] tag cancels any previous BBcode ?!

this is the intended behaviour (...) if you wish to have bold text then the text for each list item needs to be bold In phpBB 3.1, it wasn't needed to give bold/color for each list item. Simply put the entire list and its items within the BBcode tags and it was ok. When you updgrade phpBB 3.1 board...

[list] tag cancels any previous BBcode ?!

Hello, Unlike phpBB 3.1 and earlier, phpBB 3.2 cancels any BBcode effect prior the list tag... So, that text... [color=#FF0000][b]Here is the issue... [list][*]In phpBB 3.1, that text was in bold and red, but not on phpBB 3.2[/list] [/b][/color] ... becomes... Here is the issue... In phpBB 3.1, that...

Re: Which browsers are officially supported?

Thank you, Christian  Although it's not reported, I now believe the development team actually dropped Internet Explorer 8. How can I presume that? The new phpBB 3.2 introduces emojis, and these emojis use SVG instead of PNG: the vectorial format is supported by Internet Explorer since IE9 and...

Which browsers are officially supported?

Hello.

Which browsers are officially supported by phpBB 3.2?

The "Styles Submission Policy" hasn't been updated since the phpBB 3.2 release, so I don't know the answer.

phpBB 3.0 = IE6+ and Firefox
phpBB 3.1 = IE8+ and Firefox
phpBB 3.2 = ?

Thank you for your answers,

Re: [Release] Legacy (phpBB 3.1.10)

Here is the v1.1 of my style. There are many changes and improvements since the initial release: A more proSilver-like design, with the addition of quick links and search bar at the header, custom contact fields and topic tools on the topics' pages, several links at the footer's breadcrumbs, etc. Ja...

Is there a template variable to check the phpBB version?

Hello, In addition to a phpBB 3.1.x board, I manage a phpBB 3.2.0-RC2 one for testing purpose. I noticed the board styles designed for phpBB 3.1.x actually work fine on phpBB 3.2, unlike phpBB 3.0.x styles on phpBB 3.1. Obviously, there are some minor bugs but they remains definitely usable. About c...
