Thats not the idea of the MOD, its not just a mutal agreement its any forum that has the MOD installed.

But yes you can make a personal blacklist/whitelist

The first ever MOD for phpBB was a discussion of this sort :lol:

It was an admin page for 2.0 that allowed you to update to the latest CVS via admin panel

The look at all links they come across, that is not blocked in robots.txt ...

A local program is a lot different to a web aplication.

No one is missing the point, the MOD team already have guidlines, which are strict enough as it is.

I can think of 101 places this would not work, and the rest of the places it just creates un wanted overhead.

Actually I read it as the actual MOD authors were mainly not in agreement to this. To me a 'safe' MOD is one validated by phpBB MOD team. As I MOD author I want to be free to MODify the code in whichever way I need for my MOD. If that means replace then so be it. I agree with you there.. If the use...
