Members that do not want to uncheck this option as they are posting will need to do this. For a global solution, you can edit "posting.php" b...

If you are the board admin. or have admin. priviledges, all you need to do is go into the ACP, look under "General Administration", then "Configuration" and make sure the "Private Messaging" option is enabled. If you are a member of someone elses board, you need to contact the board admin. and inqui...

Not possible. Unless you have access to the database itself (as mentionned by The Edge). Also, being a board administrator does not necessarily imply having access to it.

This may be the MOD you're looking for, although I don't believe it's supported by the author presently, I've seen some posts about a successful install on more recent versions:

I went ahead and changed both values to 150M and restarted Apache, but I'm still seeing the same problem (automatically goes to a 'The page cannot be displayed' page). Any other ideas? Assuming you've taken care of "Extension Groups Control" in the ACP, with appropriate values for the extension typ...

I'm using phpBB 2.0.14 with the latest Attachment mod. The install seems to have went ok, no errors and testing the settings worked fine. Uploading small files so far work just fine, but bigger files (>1MB) does not work. I've tried both via PHP upload and FTP upload, but bigger files don't upload....

You have to run the file "update-to-latest.php", which adjusts the version info in the database. The readme file gives specific information on how to procede with this.
