Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

Allright, now is the time to check if User Shield is working as advertised under subSilver. You can refer to the 3rd post of the 1st page of this thread in order to review the screecaptures as to what to visually expect when logged in as an administrator and also as a user. Let me know if things are...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

Complete the installation (including the database update). You can also ignored the DIY (do-it-yourself) instructions at the end since EasyMOD will be doing it for you. Also, by removing the "Getaway" style, I meant to remove the folder from your server directory hierarchy completely. EasyMOD is sti...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

Is this the only style you are using aside subSilver? If not, what styles do you have (complete list)? What I would like at this point is to make sure that User Shield is installed properly in subSilver, then it's just a question of manually editing 3 files for each problematic style. Can you remove...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

FIND FAILED: In file [templates/ Getaway /memberlist_body.tpl] could not find: <th height="25" class="thCornerL" nowrap="nowrap">#</th> MOD script line #717 Aaah yes... styles other than SubSilver. It's my bad, I did not realize I was dealing with a non-subSilver style. ***** If you are NOT using "...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

@ jskor If you decide to go ahead, this will be a 2 step process. On the one hand I'll remove "Hide Zero Posters" edits to those 2 files which will allow you to use EasyMOD to install User Shield. Once done (successful install), then I'll reintegrate "Hide Zero Posters" edits in those 2 files. Link...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

HEh... WEll, I'm into functions.php and was wondering if you replace ALL THREE versions of the following or just the first. Just the first, the installation template would offer distinct "FINDS" for every instances if that was the case. I got all your files and will get back to you soon. Regards, W...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

Good Lord... Either there is some faster way to do this manually or I'm brain damaged! heh... I'm sure it's probably a bit of both at this stage. I just started to manually change these files and just now got through the index and memberlist php files. I am already stark raving mad! Using an ancien...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

Can you take a quick look in "index.php" for example, just to confirm if all of User Shield's edits for that file have been processed properly? There's only a few edits affecting that file so it should be quick to check.

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

Hi mobile homeless, Already love User Shield on my main forum and was attempting to add it to another rather new forum with very few members, if not counting the over 410 SPAM members. Lord. Forum is updated to 2.0.22 . As it should. ;-) And User Shield has been confirmed to work as advertised and a...

Re: Subject line in the account activation email

My problem is, by not adding it in my control panel the activation email subject line reads like this: Welcome to Forums It would seem logical that it would need corrected here: /forum/email/user_welcome.tpl because the file reads: Subject: Welcome to {SITENAME} Forums How do I go about correcting ...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

Here's the scoop jskor. You already have a MOD (Hide Zero Posters by Terrafrost) which also edits "memberlist.php" and "includes/functions.php". These 2 MODs have a similar feature which edit the same lines. I'm of the mind (from the little I've seen so far) that they can coexist together, although ...

Re: Signature Seperator.

Hi Jwazoo15, Search for this --> $user_sig ... in these 3 files: 1] posting.php (1 instance to change) 2] privmsg.php (2 instances to change) 3] viewtopic.php (1 instance to change) There are quite a few instances of $user_sig that will not be pertinent, but at least you should be able to catch them...

Re: [2.0.21] User Shield

I'm scratching my head with this one. The code snippet is apparently intact and should be found by EasyMOD. Can you make a copy of your "memberlist.php", then rename it to "memberlist.txt", and link me to it. I'll give it a try in my test environment, to see if I can reproduce the problem.
