Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_topics SET topic_views = 0;

Run that on phpMyAdmin or another mysql client :).

Right, changed them both respectivly.

I blame those on my lazyness - I decided to make the board using fantastico, which obviously put in crappy settings -_-.

Anyway, that hasn't helped :<.

Easily :). <!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_out --> <img src = 'images/my_image.jpg'> <!-- END switch_user_logged_out --> That'll do it for the Guests, and not the logged in users.. And as for the lastpost, I THINK the last post is stored in MySQL after being posted - not sure if there's a lastpost lin...

Go to register.php. Up the top, under the <?php line, type in

Code: Select all

header("index.php");

That'll stop anyone being able to register.

just out of interest can i ask who your web host is? Yeah it might be useful to see what cookie settings you have :) If your on a linux server i would start by double checking all the file permissions. Also is the domain you are uing to access the board a true domain...with no url forwarding or clo...

Looks like you (or a MOD) have done some pretty heavy editing...

To fix that problem (although there may be others) change this line

Code: Select all

      AND s.session_time >= " . ( time() - 80000 ) . "
To this

Code: Select all

      AND session_time >= " . ( time() - 80000 ) . "

Try including the bit above that - from at least $sql = downwards :).

Update: It seems installing autocookie won't help... I put install/cookie.php on there and upon trying to access it, I get the blank page.

I can access things like templates/subSilver/index.htm, and am having no problem with the rest of the server.

Hey Graham :). We've solved the problem of the missing language (I believe), but it seems I have another problem now... Because of this "blank page of death", I can't seem to check if the first problem was solved ^^. Offtopic: Your avatar - Bertie ftw <3. My girlfriend and I each have an olympus Ber...

Nothing. Happens for other people too, so not related to me :). And not just logged in.

Try going into through a mysql client (like phpMyAdmin) and find your database. Find a table in there called (prefix)_config - most likely phpbb_config.

Look for a row called 'board_disable' - it's probably set to 1. Set it to 0 :).

Hmm, that's really weird :S.

On FF, I get a blank page for any forums hosted on that server. If I try IE, I get "The page cannot be displayed".

The permissions all seem correct - not that I've changed them..

Hmm.. That's a good point. But both forums are using the same file structure, but the second one had default_lang as en by default. Does the newest install of phpBB set the default language to en as opposed to english? I doubt I would have done this myself :). For some reason, none of my forums on t...
