Over $546,000,000 says over 1 million people disagreed with you inside of a month.

Re: Who thinks the Pope should be Jailed?

I agree with you 100% - And the reason I think the Catholic Church has gotten away with covering these crimes up is the same as those involved in ClimateGate, ACORN, etc. have gotten away with their own coverups. Politics, money, amnesty and power.

Re: [Discuss] Announcing Titania, the Customisation Database

There are no MODs in the MODDB that do not use GPLv2. It is currently a requirement that they do. This is not correct unless it’s recently been changed. AFAIK the only requirement for GPL is if the code relies on phpBB code. If it’s a third-party app that contains code that would enable it to work ...

But I am in good situation, because I've got access to server's shell, not everyone has that possibility, so let's help them.
Even shared hosts can set a password on a directory without shell/root access.

Re: Apple iPad

I’d love an iPad as well... I just can’t justify the price at the moment, but I certainly would find it very useful - for data consumption. It may work as a music book as well, which makes it much much more valuable to me.

Re: Who thinks the Pope should be Jailed?

Um..... errrrr....... did i say that i take drugs ? I dont take "illegal" or legal drugs . I was referring to your site. - Which you were trying to get me to join and debate on. There are self proclaimed druggies on there. Seems strange to me that someone who does not take drugs (legal or illegal) ...

Re: Apple iPad

Apple sold it’s one millionth iPad on Friday, 28 days after it’s release. In contrast, it took Apple 74 days to sell 1 million iPhones.

I had no clue that it would be anywhere near as popular as the iPhone, let alone more popular... I can’t believe a million people found it useful already.

Can a moderator split the topic regarding Apple's stance on Flash into a new topic?
Perhaps: “Apple Defends it’s Decision to Ignore Flash on Mobile Devices”.

Thanks!

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1 discontinues support for PHP < 5.2

php.net contains multiple guides on upgrading your PHP installation... I’d start here: Migrating from PHP4 to PHP5 Since you are updating PHP, you might as well update to the newest version of PHP: PHP 5.3.2 , which also has a migration guide from PHP 5.2 to 5.3 . You could upgrade your PHP installa...

Great article about Flash and why it should not be on Mobile devices: http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/

Personally, I hope Flash will eventually die and that HTML5 will become widely accepted.

Re: My ONLY gripe with MODS

It would help if MOD Authors put their code into a repository, and linked to it in one of their MOD topics or in the MODX file itself. There are many free services out there: github.com , Assembla , Google Code , BitBucket . But it would have to be up to the MOD Author to choose to use these, we can...
