Thanks, guys. I've read all that though and the problem is that it's not creating a .sql file, it's creating an "export.htm" file. I will keep the auto-backup script to use when I get this problem fixed.

upgrading with patches?

I can't get into my Admin Panel because of an error page MSN is giving me when I try. I posted about that here http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=362047 so I am now trying to work my way thru updating to 2.0.19. I've been reading the knowledge base and decided to try the patch method. I down...

problem making backup db file

I'm trying to make a backup file of my database using phpMyAdmin. I've done this before and it saved ok. Now, however, it won't make a .sql file to save. No matter which "export type" option I choose (insert, update, replace) or which compression option I choose (none, zipped, gzipped) I get a file ...

Since the message is from Lycos and mentions "restricted area" as a possibility, I wonder if it's related to the error message I'm getting from MSN when I try to log in to my AP?

Well shoot. Can you point me to a page with info & directions pertaining to upgrading? My main concern would be having to redo all the changes I made to my style.

Error message regarding malware

Screen shot of error page: http://colliope.com/holdingbin/malware_error.gif I got the above error page when I tried to log into my forum this morning. Now, I am logged in, but when I try to use the "Go to Administration Panel" link at the bottom of the main page, I again am getting the above page. S...

deleted templates still there

I deleted (via FTP) all but three of the templates I had installed but they are all still listed in the drop-down boxes on the admin config menu and in the profile section.
What else do I need to do to make them go away?

I just finished doing this. :D

go to /language/lang_english/lang_main.php

scroll down to near the bottom and look for

$lang['Reg_agreement'] = ' THE AGREEMENT TEXT IS HERE ';

Change the text to whatever you want, and be sure to leave the ' at the beginning and the '; at the end.

Thanks, Stefan. Now that I know where to change it, can you tell me how to change it? I'm totally new to this php stuff and don't understand the relationship between these two files, so I don't know how to re-write the link to just a regular url without breaking any connections. /templates/xxxxxx/ag...

After I posted this question, I found this other thread http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=266399 about just removing the memberlist icon from unlogged in viewers, which sounded good, but there are other code changes reccommended in that thread, to do as is being suggested here - leave the l...
