Very true, and phpbb.com is a good example of a great single style forum ;)

Re: phpbb_acl_options table and auth_option field

mm, looking at the bug tracker, there is no "data base structure" report category, and this could as well be considered as not a (phpBB) bug. It's kind of an edge case. But before all, I do not want to stress any body here, so let's say we wait few more days for the report. Hopefully someone will pa...

Re: phpbb_acl_options table and auth_option field

(can't think of any reason it couldn't be right now). Same for me, I could not find any legitimate use for a duplicate auth_option key. What I'm sure of is that if a UNIQUE key on this field is possible, then it would prevent some really bad experiences to low skills phpBB user that would have trie...

Re: A PHPBB3 development server

There is a xampp linux distro, even one for mac and solaris, of course not meant for being used in a live environment, but I was indeed mainly thinking about windows, after A_O_C talked about windows machine solutions. I really love the portable version of xampp (for windows), it's so handy to carry...

Re: A PHPBB3 development server

I personally appreciate xampp a lot for local testing, and they as well release a portable version, works like a charm ;)

phpbb_acl_options table and auth_option field

Hello all, I recently faced an issue with the phpbb_acl_options table and auth_option field. Nothing really due to phpBB3, but that could be dealt with better (excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong). Here is the thing, I was playing with a mod conversion (from phpBB2), and find out that this mod did not ...

Re: [RC4] GYM Sitemaps & RSS (aka mx Google Sitemaps)

Then activate mod rewrite for the gym mod and you'll have .xml urls for sitemaps and rss feeds.

Requires mod_rewrite on your server, read the install ;)

If all domains are installed on the same server together with mysql, it won't be a problem, but if the SQL server is separated from one or more domains, ...

Re: [ALPHA] Shop Mod (0.4.1)

Well, my code is online and working, and does only one query for all users at once so, I guess it's even a better optimization than yours which will perform one SQL per user.

What is the problem you had when testing it ?
