Re: How old is your phpBB board?

My one, forex-station, is 4 years old and grown from a tiny little forum to about half a million users per month now.

Planning on staying with PhpBB forever :)

Re: 500 error when user tries to update notification prefercences

Dear community, since a while, I have the following issue in my phpbb installation. phpbb version : 3.2.8, no core modifications PHP_VERSION : 5.6.40 When the user tries to reach "MYSERVER.net/forum/ucp.php?i=ucp_notifications&mode=notification_options" page, the server delivers a 500...

Re: What is your opinon on dark styles?

Dark styles are good if done properly but honestly, every time I visit a dark forum it just doesn't seem as easy to navigate or as "clear" as a standard white one. It's a bit hard to explain but white is always the easiest to work with and the best.

Re: Why forum over Facebook?

From a phpBB forum I don't get daily, annoying friendship suggestions from persons or groupleaders I can't stand at all. Or people with whom one is offended  . I don't know why Facebook survived so long!? People don't seem to mind being spied on and robbed. Agreed. Facebook is annoying and...

This is a superb idea for an extension and can help limit the non contributing and leeching forum visitors. Thanks for making this extension mate

Hello,

This Bot list is still being maintained?

Ecosia search engine seems to be missing.
I don't find any clue on it.
Same. Can't find a user agent for it. Any ideas?

Re: Smiley Was Ignored As No Emotion Was Entered

I just noticed the emotion box and tried entering text for a single Smiley. It has accepted it. What is this Emotion box for? Does it have any forum based functionality or? The emotion is just a mouseover text description for when someone placed their mouse pointer over the Smiley. It does nothing ...

As others have said, if it provides everything you need and you're happy with your forum as it is then there's no urgency to update.

Yes, that's correct, however the tool by Google does not accept it to be an URL. I'm going to change it to be an ImageObject to make Google happy, you can see the progress here: https://github.com/AlfredoRamos/phpbb-ext-seo-metadata/pull/31 The error about the missing value for publisher.name is be...

Re: [3.2][RC] SEO Metadata

Here's a screenshot and example URL from our site The script the screenshot is showing, is not part of this extension, which by the way is inserted in the wrong place. The missing data ( author , datePublished , and publisher ) will be added in the next version. Noted. I will investigate further. T...
