Re: Attachment tutorial ?

I used your post as a basis for something similar on my site :

I hope it will do the trick in the absence of an official tutorial.

Attachment tutorial ?

Many of the users of my forum are not the most computer savvy or technical people. As such some cannot seem to work out how to post attachments. I can and do help many with the problem, but cannot allways do so in a timely manner. Before I go and spend a lot of time to write my own (that I really do...

Re: Set admin activation to 1 admin only in phpBB3

This thread is a little old, so I thought I would check - is the edit still going to work on 3.0.4 ?

Re: Downright weird permissions problem.

In what respect ? Ram / CPU load ?

Does the process generate an especially high number of queries ?

Re: Downright weird permissions problem.

I'll give it a whirl, odd though as I'm on my own VPS and there should be plenty of 'welly'. How intensive is the process re ram / cpu ?

Downright weird permissions problem.

I've setup a number of phpBB forums in the past, no problem. I am just doing a new forum, when the forums & categories were created the ' do not copy permissions ' was selected in each case. Now I go into the Groups forum permissions and work my way down the list selecting the appropriate access...

Are we, seems like he's quietly dropped it too. I have no doubt it's not easy to do but with similar techniques being used on many sites on the net someone must have the knowledge to make it work ?

Fixed - Edit error (on my part)

I have just moved a site (did a clean install of 3.0.4) then added mods & the old database on a new server. All the avatars from the old site are not appearing, instead just text ' user avatar ' shows. New avatars appear to upload OK, but when a user goes back into their UCP for a fraction of a ...
