Skipping a version won't be a problem. You can safely go from 3.2.0 to 3.2.2, when it's released.
Wow, sounds helpful. Thanks for the info. Will directly move from 3.2.0 to 3.2.2, when it's released. :)

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.1 released

I think a separate pack for newbies without the images, store, files folders and config.php file would be a lot helpful so they dont get messed-up if incase a backup doesn't exist. There are enough problems with people not using the most appropriate package already without introducing any more. Yes...

You wrote: "4. Remove (delete) the config.php file, and the /images, /store and /files folders from the package (not your site)". Why don't you delete them yourself before publishing the package :?: Because that is the full package and you need them for a new install. I think a separate pack for ne...

Re: Updating 3.2 to 3.2.1 getting errors

Hi, I just made a backup of everything - but I have a hoster, which makes 2 times a day backup of my whole webspace including the databases. Cheers Frank I just recovered the website using an update made by my hoster. Any idea when we can safely update the forum? The "Automatic Update Package" is s...

Re: Updating 3.2 to 3.2.1 - Database size reduced, all topic content missing.

@KevC : Should i create a new folder, install a fresh 3.2.1 there and try to recover the database there (so all the files are brand new but database is old)? Will that work? Will i be able to perform an database update after this process? Thanks. You did that: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/...

Re: Updating 3.2 to 3.2.1 - Database size reduced, all topic content missing.

I"m always working with phpmyadmin, not with the restore function in the ACP, so you don't have to delete the tables I think? Ok, i should learn more and get better on both backup and updates on PHPBB. I would have been a lot less stressful had i backedup the entire forum instead of just the databa...

Re: Updating 3.2 to 3.2.1 - Database size reduced, all topic content missing.

I don't know, might just be optimization but it's a heck of a lot! Give it a go and see what happens. You can always restore it afterwards. Hi, i did the same. Everything was fine and uploads went successful . Install too was successful, database too was showing fine but all threads were still miss...

Did you first delete the old tables in the database?
I did whats exactly given here - https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... ating-32x/ and it never suggested for any table deletion.
