Re: RC1->RC2(Auto) forum wants to see RC3-update files instead..

That's what I had in mind with RC2, but my own 'will' to upgrade took a little longer than I thought :D So when I noticed RC3 was out I decided to go ahead and upgrade my new RC1-forum.

Re: RC1->RC2(Auto) forum wants to see RC3-update files instead..

I upload the update-files, hit the link in the ACP; "Now start the update process by pointing your browser to the install folder." And I just get a Notice and no further action seems possible. Notice Update files are out of date. The update files found are for updating from phpBB 3.0.RC1 t...

RC1->RC2(Auto) forum wants to see RC3-update files instead..

... but I don't want to go to RC3 yet, because I have a live-forum that I don't want to possibly 'break' that with such a fresh and untested release yet. (I've got a few mods in there)

so, can I still do an auto-update from RC1 to RC2?

Re: posting.php focus - do you think it's a bug?

I'm using Firefox on a Mac and notice the same thing.
I have to manually click inside the reply-box to activate it before I can even type my reply. Just rechecked it to be sure.

I like this Mod. I'll be checking this one out when it goes out of Beta.
Good work!

Re: posting.php focus - do you think it's a bug?

Some of my users also complained about this. We are using the SubSilver-template. Even in regular topics, hitting the space-bar will make the page jump down to the bottom. But when replying is pretty annoying indeed. I think I'll add the QuickReply-mod again in phpbb3. (Which should've been already ...

Re: Make links open in new window?

Middle mouse button ... All the computers I use have only 1 mouse-button and it's the mouse itself... ;) I wonder who really think-out these funny Quirks ;) in such standards anyway. Sometimes I think it's done by people who don't spend much or no time on the internet and *think* things should be d...

Re: Make links open in new window?

... ultimately, your users will thank you for this change, ... hmm, I doubt it... :? I understand the theory behind all this and standards are usually good of course, and "in theory" this is all nice and dandy... ...but in real-life, 80-90% of the users of my forums are computer-noobs and...

Re: Make links open in new window?

Also emailadresses in posts wil get 'mailto:' added also.

testcase@mail.com will become mailto:testcase@mail.com

I *REALLY* hope this major SamePageLink-issue wil get fixed in the final release and let links open in new pages again.

Re: No New Post, New Topic, or Reply buttons showing up in prosi

Might be a language-issue. Maybe there are no button's in the language you specified.
Try switching back to English if you have a different language installed.
Just had a similar-issue today.

Re: Quick spam removal - delete user to delete their posts

bonelifer, Thanks, the 1st link seems to work fairly ok. James, I've installed and am using a couple of anti-spam measures already, and although spamming has been decreased a lot on my forums, there are still some of those buggers coming through though. I'll give your question-mod a try next. Sounds...

Re: Quick spam removal - delete user to delete their posts

Here's another idea for a mod. As an admin, I would like to have a simple button or link on the forum-header/footer that's always (and only) visible for me. Hitting that button/link should remove the last registered user, and it's posts if there are any, without any confirmation of any kind. Most of...
