Validation Q

Would an extension pass validation if it added a div round something? Example for the overall_header_page_body_before event: HTML would just have: <div style="slide-socials-wrapper"> <!-- INCLUDE slidesocials.html --> Then to close the wrapper, the overall_footer_page_body_after event: HTML would ju...

Re: Why doesn't phpBB follow some trends like its competitors?

but a WYSIWYG editor can go to hell. I don't like the fact where my text is exactly formatted from the content I copied. Yep, try posting quotes from an article on an Xenforo forum, christ in the time it takes to make it to look normal you could have wrote the article yourself, on a phone it takes ...

Add 'Search Users Posts' To View Topic Body

Is there an extension available to add a 'Search Users Posts' link on all posts in 'viewtopic_body.html' ?

I don't think it can be done my modifying style template files as it only works on the 'memberlist_view.html' page.

Re: speech bubble

If you use an image for the arrow like Solidjeuh, you can use CSS to rotate at 700px, Example: @media (max-width: 700px) { /* Rotate Bubble Image */ .post-bubble { -webkit-transform:rotate(268deg); -moz-transform:rotate(268deg); } /* Position Bubble Image */ .post-bubble { top: -11px; left: 26px; } ...

Re: finally migrated to mybb here is my 2 cents

A phpBB forum that I use has a like button so there must be an extension out there unless they've adapted the Post Love or Thanks For Post extension etc. Hopefully your visitor numbers / google search rank won't drop with the forum not being responsive on VBulletin. For myBB AmazOuz at Developement ...

Re: phpBB.com Website Feedback

My Clean-Boardz style never made it onto the demo page, nor does the demo link on the page work: https://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.2/board/index.php?style=1536 https://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.2/board/index.php?style=1536 Now i just list my styles on my personal sites along with the Clean-Board...

Re: [DEV] [OFFICIAL] CODENAME: Chameleon

I'm not a fan of the post slider on the forum Hanakin linked to, Flarum has a similar idea, https://discuss.flarum.org/d/21101-demos-come-to-flarum It's pretty fiddly. You could probably do with starting a separate topic to ask people if there is anything they've seen on other sites that they'd like...

Re: Hide my post for my foe

Plus if the user is not logged in he or she will be able to see the posts anyway unless it's a private forum.
On the other hand if they have more than one account they will still be able to see the posts.

Re: Finally some good news!!

What does Donald Trump do? he throws childish insults around, he encourages hatred. The day after the El Paso and Ohio shootings, Don steps off his helicopter heads over to the reporters, gives a 2 minute sorry / thoughts are with etc and then a minute later says "we've done more than the previous a...

Re: Finally some good news!!

The one good thing that I hope comes out of Brexit is regardless of how bad it turns out to be - or how good it turns out to be (you never know)... people will learn not to trust everything they get told, i/e buses suggesting millions of £££££ for the NHS etc. I think it will be a game changer for p...

Re: remove the font awesome icons?

You could add this into the CSS to get a preview of your board with the icons gone. (or do it with the browser inspector) .fa-fw { display: none !important; } You would need to fix a few buttons that have icons only without text in the templates, off the top of my head I can think of buttons for: Se...

Re: update fields in profile

I wouldn't be surprised if the contact icons will be removed in future versions. If an Admin has several of them enabled and you look at the Members page it looks a bit messy. There are so many new contact ways popping up that as soon as phpBB adds more there'll be something new to add. I think the ...

Re: pm admin only

Been asked this myself a few times as some admins don't want members to use the pm system for security etc. Ended up putting the contact us link in the profile field but not all admins use the same email for the forum so it's not an ideal solution. if you want to extend that approach, you could rou...
