CODE CHANGES. That keeps all the MODS. You basically copy the TXT file to the correct easy mod folder location (easy mod has instrucitons for that). Go into the admin panel and use easy mod. It will tell you if there are any errors before the upgrade (such as TEXT not found in the files that are to ...

Where can I download 2.0.20 changed files, NOT the 2.0.21?

The downloads page only has the 2.0.21 upgrade. I need the 2.0.20 first (CODE CHANGES ONLY due to heavy modded board). Ive found links for the 2.0.20 upgrade that are not on the phpbb site and I question if they have the updated 2.0.20 info because originally the CODE CHANGES were not correct and ca...

Protecting your board from spam/bots 1) Disable guest posting (if you haven't already done so) 2) Update to 2.0.21 3) Enable visual confirmation in the administration panel>configuration ( Don't see it? ) 4) Set activation to 'user' (in the administration panel>configuration) 5) See this topic: Fig...

As to your DB question, I'm sure somebody will advise in due course.

Ah ha, true true. That pretty much solves everything.

Can you not create a database query that copies the information from the username field to the new field across for all users? Mark :D Hmmm. Good idea. Still, new users who are too dumb to enter a custom title might post with no name and no avatar showing. Anyone know about creating this query? Im ...

Yep, that is the one. The only problem with this MOD and your suggestion above is that if I replace the USERNAME display then all users will have no name displayed since they will not have anything entered into the "cutom title" line of their profile. Also, itd require all users to update their pro...

true. Each time I do the 1 line command to repair it says something like "changed sessions from 200 to 205". Thats not the exact message but its always numeric and some sort of count. Sometimes its fixed for 2 weeks, sometimes 3, sometimes just 1. I do have a ton of mods installed and I do an automa...

every week I get the "cant create new session" error so I use phpmyadmin to rebuild table phpbb_sessions and it clears it up. Id like to just have an automated mysql command do it daily. Its been doing this for about 7 months.

I keep getting this same error every 2 weeks or so. What would cause this? The repair option fixes it right away but its annoying. Is there a way for me to execute this command through telnet so that I can program it to repair daily to prevent errors? this could be symptomatic of the database serve...
