Re: A sign-up sheet ext

Maybe this extension will light a candle Date Topic Event Calendar ? hmm. It's really hard to tell from the description. It looks more like a meeting planner kind of thing. What we do are month-long activities where the people who sign up are paired and work together on a kind of assignment. I'm ju...

Re: A sign-up sheet ext

Possible idea.... Make a group which has membership by request (or make it open so once they're in that's it) Anyone who wants in can request to join the group You just approve everyone. Give that group access to a forum which has all the topics for the activity (if that's how it works) When it's o...

A sign-up sheet ext

On my forum we have monthly group activities that require people to sign up. Up to now, the only way to do that is to open a topic for "June Sign-up" and people reply with "I'm in" or whatever. You have to go through it and pick out all the names and it's just a bit messy. An extension that would al...

Avatar Gallery: 1 folder shows, 1 doesn't

I uploaded a folder of avatars I made to the avatar gallery. Worked fine. !uploaded a second one, it didn't show up as a category. I tried moving one of the avatars from the second folder to the first, it didn't show up with the others. The avatars are basically the same in both folders, same file s...

Re: tapatalk- do I need it and why is it so hard to install?

And your board is your board, whether or not it poses a security risk or you don’t want to install it for whatever reason thats down to you. I would be very surprised if regular users of your board would even knew what tapatalk was. I think you're right. I'm getting the feeling that the people who ...

Re: tapatalk- do I need it and why is it so hard to install?

And it does nothing that phpBB does not do natively. It has only one advantage, and that is that it does push notifications to mobile devices. It actually gets users coming back to the forum. I hate TT more than anyone but I've got it installed on one forum because when I disabled it people raged a...

Re: Images posted side-by-side

The problem with blurry images is solved when you disable the javascript part by deleting the mentioned file. The other issues of the user were from totally different extensions. You were so right. It works great. I did have 2 questions about it which I posted in the discussion forum for the extens...

Re: Images posted side-by-side

It seems like I would need another domain name to set up another board. Is that right? Not necessarily - you can set it up on your own PC - Knowledge Base - Installing and Setting Up Your Own Web Server Thanks for this. I will have a closer look at it, but from a first glance I think I'm out of luc...

Re: Images posted side-by-side

I think what Lumpy meant was that you should try it on your test board to see if it works, not on your production board. I'm always learning something here. Seriously. I don't have a test board, am unfamiliar with the concept but now that you say it, it seems so obvious that everyone should have on...

Re: Images posted side-by-side

install it and enable it and see if it works. if not, disable it, delete data and remove the files and find something else to try. robert I guess I hesitate because of comments like these in the discussion area for the extension: Re: Will this work on 3.2? by Meldane » Thu Apr 12, 2018 6:40 pm Nope...
