yes i did that today i was unable to send PM to anyone coz the error was coming in emailer.php u told me to set up a smtp account i did that pasted the required info in the Admin Contro Panel and thn i was able to get email when i registered a new account, i Private Messaged myself and it was worki...

if have outlook try seting up your free SMTP email account with it

i use a free smtp server for my forum but try Searching phpbb for smtp

on how set it up cos i have free email that has smtp so see who hosts email see if theve pop3 and smtp servers for that email you have

1 what email are you all useing for your Admin Email Address

if your useing yahoo or hotmail theve don't work with forums

if you have smtp then i can't help you

but if don't then need get smtp

to stop the error it may help some times cos what i did fix the error
