make copies and work on them instead. that way if it all goes sideways you haven't lost anything.

you can install it all on your computer if you install something like xamp or wamp server on it first.

make sure the anonymous user is in the guest group and that nobody else is in the guest group. also, check permissions for the registered user group for the relevant posts/forums that are not showing up. also, have you checked what the registered users can see other than yourself? create a new accou...

Re: localtimes.info clock

I would be surprised if vimeo or any other large site is still using anything flash related. it is very insecure and is slowly being removed/replaced all over the net.

Re: Help! Board Issues

I would not delete them until you are sure what you are doing. the phpbb2 ones are from an old phpBB2 install the cpg135 are most likely to a coppermine gallery install that you may or may not need. the others may or may not be needed before you delete them, make a complete backup of the whole datab...

Re: Backup

go to admin panel maintenance tab, then database then backup. choose full.
once the database is backed up, go to your ftp , go to the folder named store and download that backup file to your computer.
while in the ftp, backup all the files in your phpbb folder to your computer.

done.

Re: A better way to reorder bbcodes

that must be it. I do not have any ordering arrows either. also, note that the default bbcodes are not listed in the bbcode section of the acp either.

the only way to edit them is via the html files.

Re: Help! Board Issues

and you have to remove all traces of the MODs from your files and the database. that was supposed to be part of the upgrade.

that includes automod changes to the database and all the files.

also, disable all extensions while you are testing things.

I don't like tabs and rarely use them. I am aware that I am an old fuddy and don't like change.
One day Robert you will have to consider joining the 20th Century - perhaps the 21st is just a step too far :D :D :D

Re: Open links in new tab

until just a few years ago, the standard was to open all links in a new window. the w3c decided that it was not right and changed the standard to open all links in the same tab/window. I never agreed with this but have learned to just use the right click or rather to set the middle scroll wheel butt...

Re: whitespace error while posting replies

a blank page is usually caused by a php error somewhere. you will need to access your server error logs to find out what is causing it.

if you do not know where the logs are you will need to ask your host.
once you find the logs, copy and paste the newest 25 or so lines here.

you have to fill out the support template and then copy and paste the result here in the post. we have no way of seeing it until you do that.

when you create a mass email there is a checkbox for send now. otherwise I believe they are sent via a cron job when someone visits the site or something like that. what is the contents of the email you are sending out? not the template, the content you are putting in the mass email form in the admi...

Re: not the normal appearence... No entrence...

to start, phpbb.com has nothing to do with forum2go.nl they just happen to use the phpbb software. that style is proflat. there is no way that your style was changed accidentally. however, forum2go very well may have upgraded their version of phpbb and also done something to switch the style. it is ...
