Re: MS SQL - back up to remote

Is there software that will allow me to backup my MS SQL database to one of my local drives? I'm using Readyhosting which doesn't allow conventional backups through the phpBB GUI. I've tried some shareware like DBsolo & SQL Admin studio, but neither seem to do what I want. Readyhosting techs are on...

Yes,

Since I'm on MS SQL I seem to be limited by settings determined by Readyhosting. I wish could just do something similar to an FTP transfer.

I'm on MS SQL, so I don't think anything written specifically for MySQL will do the job. Not sure, I'm a Noob at this.

I'm using subsilver, no mods. I think I'm just plain locked out, when I load the admin page directly I get "You are not authorised to administer this board" I think the php "toolkit.php" would solve my problem but when I run it, it says it is only compatable with a MySQL database. I think mine is SQ...

I have been through that thread. My ACP link does not even appear anymore. I think most of the problems on that thread concern people wh can't get access after clicking the link.

2.0.15 upgrade caused ACP link to disappear

After upgrade to 2.0.15 my ACP link disappeared and I have no administration access. Anyone had this problem? The toolkit hack doesn't work as it reports my database is not MySQL, although it is SQL. This is a brand new forum with no posts. Can I just save the config. file and do a new install, to r...

Jim_UK,

Were you replying to me?

Because your solution also says it runs only on MySQL.

Also, I looked at the thread you posted, then I went back 5 minutes later and it does not exist.

I got de-administered when I added a group also. I think.

When I load the toolkit it says it works only On MySQL database. I must be on a different SQL. I'm using Readyhosting. Any suggestions on how to get my access back??
