Re: Anyone use Amazon Simple Email Service?

No, not currently a user, nor even aware before you mentioned it. That all sounds very interesting and high-functioning with regard to giving you a constant and consolidated view of your sending reputation. At "US$0 for the first 1000" (both sending and receiving) and "no minimum charges", are they ...

Re: phpBB-3.2.4 Installation Problem

Thanks Paul. I wouldn't have already known, but the list of extensions required for boot-strapping phpBB are listed in the documentation, too : PHP 5.4.7+ with support for the database you intend to use. getimagesize() function enabled The following PHP modules are required: json XML support Corresp...

Re: phpBB-3.2.4 Installation Problem

Both F12 and Wireshark confirm that although the initial request for /new_mboard/install/app.php/ is successfully responded to (which is what allows you to see the initial install page), the web server is returning "500 Internal Server Error" once you attempt to request /new_mboard/install/app.php/i...

Re: PHPB 3.0 to 3.2 Upgrade viewtopic.php 500 Error FIXED

Note the phpbb3_oauth_states issue is what's discussed in https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=556&t=2495021#p15154571. Based on what we've seen, since you started from 3.0.14 and encountered that issue, my expectation is also that the STK database cleaner was either not used against the ...

Re: error upgrading fro 3.2.2 to 3.2.4

I have downloaded the full package and followed the instructions but get an error message when I point the browser to the install folder. https://www.phpbb.com/community/download/file.php?id=217096&mode=view That actually looks like messages you would get attempting to use the auto-update rather th...

Re: Error upgrading from 3.0.8 to 3.2.4

This to reset 3.2.x Bots. Good info to have in context here. Not withstanding that the issue here, when it affects someone, is blocking them from actually getting to 3.2.x; as opposed to needing to reset the 3.2.x list after the fact. Looking over the default_bots_32.php code, it does make me wonde...

Re: Error upgrading from 3.0.8 to 3.2.4

I think maybe i did a mistake as i runned STK in phpBB 3.0.8 and probably i had to run it with the last 3.0 subversion available, 3.0.14. Anyway, i said yes to every question, i don't remember the questions but if there's one calling to reset the bots, i answered yes. Performed further investigatio...

If you're in the situation of having a single hosting account which allows you to have multiple sites / multiple domains pointed to this single hosting account, and you're trying to move your existing ohsclub.com site into its own subfolder so that in the near future you can create additional sites ...

Re: Slow Page Load - css and js files loading 4 secs!

For "static" resources like .css to be showing the delay -- as opposed to dynamically-generated html content by the .php scripts -- to me that pretty strongly implies a behavior of the underlying web server, and not something you're trying to find or tune in phpBB itself. In those cases where a CTRL...

Re: bbcode.php error at Offset 64

The issue you're seeing is likely occurring because not all of the posts on your board have been "reparsed" yet after the upgrade. The upgrade itself doesn't do this, and instead there is a "cron" job that converts 100 of the messages at a time , more or less "each time someone visits your board." S...

...but i don't understand why this error with a table that doesn't exist in phpbb 3.0... In the error message you're citing, it's the v310\bot_update.php migration module that is triggering code that depends on the oauth_states table, which doesn't exist (yet) in your database. The cited line is in...

i'm wondering how it will handle attachment files? when i backed things up the first time around, i didn't uncheck "treat files without extensions as ascii files" in filezilla's transfer settings, as a result... Re: Trransferring Files To New Host

unfortunately that doesn't really help with he prob i'm describing because the "file already exists > overwrite? > overwrite options" happens in both directions, when downloading (backing up) your phpbb files to a local disk, and again when uploading them to a server. Okay, understood. The original...

Re: Trransferring Files To New Host

I don't have anything that lets me do it "on the server itself", but I frequently download the files currently on the web site to a local directory, and then use a diff tool to compare the entire subdirectory structure against some previous backup and/or a known-source extraction like a phpBB releas...
