If you look in index.php you will see how they are all defined, so would just be picking the relevant code.

2: could you not just copy the code from viewtopic.php and the appropriate tpl file?
although I believe it would need to be tweaked a bit to work properly in viewonline.

When admin activation is set, only you receive an e-mail. When you activate the user with the link in your e-mail then that user should receive an e-mail saying they are now active.

Although I could be confused with something else here ;)

Not that I know of, you can just change it in the database. Although it is a stupid idea. If you are planning on making it look like you have alot, visitors will soon realise it's a lie when they browse the forum.
