OK OK

Try inserting this: if ($j == $board_config['guestforum']) { $display_forums = ($user_data['id'] == -1); } After this: if ( $is_auth_ary[$forum_data[$j]['forum_id']]['auth_view'] && $forum_data[$j]['cat_id'] == $cat_id ) { $display_forums = true; } In index.php You'll also need to create a new entry...

Ohters are hidden

Well how about just having the guest forum at the bottom of the page normally
If all the others were hidden (eg a guest user is viewing) then it will be at the top.

Usergroups

Tis a really neat idea, saves any messy hacks. There may still be a way to work around that... I was thinking thats perhaps a hardcoded message (or retreived from a database) could be displayed above the forum if the user wasn't registered. This message could say all that the forum was intended to s...

Pretty much

Kinda, the full url works best though, as very few sites will have the RSS feed as the index of a folder.
Try it out on my forum if you want to.

I PMed someone RE this, but thought here may be its home.

I have to confess that today I've completely messed up my application. I posted v1.0.0 the other day and it was rejected, I was pointed towards the validator and all was good so I reposted with v1.0.1. Since posting that I thought I'd missed a bug and so posted v.1.0.2. Big mistake. Turns out v1.0.1...

Why?

Please indulge my curiosity; why would you want this?
I can think of no situation when this would be useful.
What did you have in mind?

This is a file.

You'll need FTP access to the files on your hosts server.
Open up templates/subSilver/overall_footer.tpl
You can treat it by and large as html, so just paste in the html of the button where you'd like it.

[RC1] RSS bbCode

My first mod is ready to be validated: RSS bbCode It basically allows users to include the top post from an RSS feed using bbCode in a regular post. Comments greatly apprecitated. Am considering release into the wild now... Major update plus a minor one too. Now includes the source code for the scri...

My new code changes this.

blinddruid: Thanks. That works. The only other little problem is that the right click menu does not reflect the changes I made in the ACP. eg I replaced the FAQ link with a Fantasy Sports mod link but the FAQ is still showing up and linking to the FAQ page instead of going to the sports page. My new...

Warning: # EoM is the wrong syntax.

Warning: # EoM is the wrong syntax.

Anyone know how to remedy this?
The uri of my mod is: http://tom.whaletattoo.com/rss_v1.0.1.mod

// Edit: I got it. The 'o' needs to be lowercase. Apologies. I'm gonna leave this thread up in case anyone's as confused as I was.

This mod is good, but

This mod is good, but: ~ The default one I downloaded from here didn't actually use the database values, just the default ones. ~ The menu stopped the page from being html 4.01 compliant. I've fixed both of these and have added several features: ~ If an ISUA_name contains PM it now affixes a message...
