Hi: Find this file within your phpBB install: {root}/templates/ templateName /index_body.tpl - <!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_out --> <form method="post" action="{S_LOGIN_ACTION}"> <table width="100%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" border="0" class="forumline"> <tr> <td class="catHead" height="28"><...

$thanks++; The first time I used phpBB, it was 2.0.11 (and Olympus now!). I am happy to say - FWIW - that I have never had to, since, look for any other forum solution. I have found everything I need as far as functionality is concerned, and more than what I expected in terms of variety, resources, ...

Are you talking about the main site or their forums, at http://www.drados.com/BBS/? If you are really interested, I could try writing a style that'd make phpBB look like that, except I am not sure about my level of comfort with styles for Olympus yet...

Well, at the risk of sounding redundant: 1. Go to your ACP, make sure HTML is enabled, and the list of allowed html tags should look akin to this: b,i,u,pre,iframe . 2. When you're posting, try to post something simple to begin with, like <iframe src="http://www.phpbb.com"></iframe> If you're sure y...

Pretty much in line with what CTCNetwork said earlier: This is a problem with the server, not the software. The server being the system that is hosting your site, usually owned by the company that hosts your site, the software being phpBB. If you don't know what this is all about - [] you're either ...

You will also need this: define('IN_PHPBB', true); before you include common.php. I'm extremely sorry I forgot to mention this earlier. And with respect to your original query - Ricky is absolutely right, you need an extra bracked to eliminate that error. I am still not sure about how the linking wi...

Andreas, I believe, although I am not too sure, that the fine print of the phpBB board rules here indicate that work-for-hire type of requests are not encouraged or entertained (I am not sure about the exact terms - perhaps it's called 'recruiting'). However, you can find support for phpBB (I mean t...

Extending on that reply a little, you are editing the overall_header.tpl file - located in the folder that contains your current template. If your template is the default (i.e., subSilver), then this is what it looks like: <body bgcolor="{T_BODY_BGCOLOR}" text="{T_BODY_TEXT}" link="{T_BODY_LINK}" vl...

This is at the risk of taking this off-topic... *shuts her eyes* In fact, getting a hosting account for free, even, that supports php and mysql isn't all that hard. Well, you might have to put up with a couple of adverts, or forum posting - usually paying for hosting is simpler, but if you really do...
