Re: Can I use user_delete on an external page?

Hi there Amigo, Can I ask what else I need to call on page startup to be able to use this function? Currently, I'm getting an undefined function error. Here's my current integration: /* phpBB session integration. */ define('IN_PHPBB', true); $root_path = './'; $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT...

Re: Can I use user_delete on an external page?

Thanks very much for your help, amigo. I have searched through the files and found the function. My question about success meant, could I do somthing like: if(!user_delete){ //failed }else{ // success } or if I should do a query on the user table to check to see if the user_id is no longer there for...

Can I use user_delete on an external page?

Heya everyone, I'm looking in the admin pages and see the following: user_delete($delete_type, $user_id, $user_row['username']); I've seen in other pages that one of the types is "remove" and it looks like the only other thing I need to pass besides type is the user_id. Can I include this function i...

Re: user banning: Just one table entry?

I am curious why you are doing this and how you are going to use it. why not just go to the admin panel and use what is already there? what do you need some type of external script to ban users for? robert I'm using the session system for a site I'm building. Everything else is done externally and ...

Re: user banning: Just one table entry?

Why don't you look up what phpBB does? In /includes/functions_user.php the function user_unban() does also flush the SQL result cache of the database table. Why don't you want to use existing functions? I was unable to figure out how to execute the function from the external script. I'm still readi...

Re: user banning: Just one table entry?

Hi there again Brf, I've run into a problem trying to implement this and wanted to ask you if you might know what I'm doing wrong. I've written my script to add an entry into the banlist table to ban, and it seems to have worked fine in that regard. Upon trying to remove the ban, however, I've run i...

Re: user banning: Just one table entry?

Why would you think you would need to do anything with them? This wiki page , namely 4 and 5. Forgive my ignorance in the matter, but what's the reason for 4 and 5, if the row has nothing to do with banning? I notice that the wiki header is development wiki, so maybe this entry is for proposed modi...

user banning: Just one table entry?

Hi there everyone! I'm writing an external script that bans the user and I thought I was going to be dealing with the banlist table as well as some entries for the user, like user_type, inactive_reason and some other stuff, but upon banning someone by username in the ACP, I can't find anything other...

Re: help with $auth->login

Thank you very much for your help, Brf. I was under the mistaken assumption that non-remembered sessions were destroyed when the browser was closed. I will try it again, waiting over an hour.

Can I ask if you know what the other two vars are for in the posted $auth->login?

Thanks!

help with $auth->login

Hi there everyone! I'm trying to create an external login page and am running into an issue. I want the user to be able to choose whether their session is remembered or not, but no matter what's chosen, the session persists through browser close. Here's my form: <form action='/?action=login' method=...

Can I add "keep me logged in" to external login?

Thanks to the following code found in this forum, I've got the ability to log in without looping through the forum confirmation page. if($user->data['is_registered']){ /* User is already logged in. */ header("Location: index.php"); exit(0); }else{ $username = request_var('username', '', true); $pass...

Re: Help me finish borrowing my forum's header/footer templa

Thanks everyone, for your help! It's not that difficult. Replace <I would like to place my own php/html code here!> with:         $template->assign_vars(array(             'TEXT'        => 'Here my text')         );   Put it before // Output page In your blank.html you display Here my tekst with the...

Re: Help me finish borrowing my forum's header/footer templa

Inside your blank.html file, you need to include the header and footer from your style by including overall_header.html and overall_footer.html. Also it best to start here: Add a New Custom Page to phpBB Thanks very much for the reply, but I've already got the header and footer included(see links)....
