Re: Switch between styles behavior issue

Hello, I'll install prosilver. Do note, the issues started when in the ACP, tab Customise, Styles, I deactivated (not deleted) custom-prosilver and activated, set as default, prosilver. I did not address anything in ACP, tab General, Board Settings. The first sign of trouble was the style had not ch...

Re: Switch between styles behavior issue

Hello, I completely agree about having prosilver folder installed on the server. This is why I am reaching out to identify the proper protocol to switch from one style to another. I don't want another crash. I find your second paragraph interesting. The style custom-prosilver is in use and as I repo...

Re: Switch between styles behavior issue

Hello, I did not copy the error message though it did repeat looking for the file in different paths. I didn't know what the Board Setting in ACP were, though I had not made any changes to it nor even looked at it. It was set at the default when I installed the phpBB. In UPC board pref I do not see ...

Re: This board has no forums

Hello All, I so love this! Wonderful input all the way around. Yes, I do understand staying away from editing the core is best. For future needs, support help such as found here will not know the core has been changed. Could skew trouble shooting and/or future administrators of the board. That said,...

Re: This board has no forums

Hello, It sure is nice to communicate with someone familiar with php, HTML code AND knows where to find the important bits. I depreciated the lines of code and wallah no gray panel. Looks even better now. Continued thanks and I bow to your greatness. Okay, a little over the top there though give cre...

Re: This board has no forums

Hello, I must say both responses I received above are great! I went with Solidjeuh's idea. Though, I modified it. Solidjeuh, I deprecated line 506 as you indicated. To me this did not quite seem correct because of the php code calling it. //'NO_FORUMS' => 'This board has no forums.', .........See be...

This board has no forums

Hello, My goal is to eliminate the notice, This board has no forums. Though, I fear it may not be easy. I have read through many of the documents related to this issue. On the board I'm working with only members, once logged in, may view the categories and forums. A Guest may not. Therefore, the gro...

Re: Members added to a new group

Hello,

stevemaury, you are the man! SQL script run and all users of non groups are now out/removed. Backup created. Thank you!

I'm still not sure why the members don't display on the Group Member page for a newly created group using the SQL script.

Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Re: Members added to a new group

Oh my, hello to all, Lets see, I guess 1st is thank you for the edit notes on the script. Though, I already made all those changes myself and ran the script. Same issue, the Approved Members area states "This group has no members". Even though there are 514 members. 2nd I did respond to the question...

Re: Members added to a new group

Hello, In trying to get the members name field to populate when adding members via SQL script, as posted above, I created several groups. When the members field would not populate I deleted the groups to start again. As you can see below in phpbb_group there is no group 8, 9 or 10. These no longer e...

Re: Members added to a new group

Hello, Thank you for the good information. Nothing I read referenced the document https://www.phpbb.com/extensions/installing/. I came across the document https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/auto_groups/ in which there is no detail referencing if the user already has a vendor folder such as...

Re: Members added to a new group

Hello, David, thank you so very much for the insightful suggestion of Auto Groups. I installed the extension and it works so very well. It gave me exactly what I was looking for. Installation did take longer than it should have due to trial and error. For those who will follow in the future perhaps ...
