Re: icons missing for stickys in Digi-theme

I meant a live example, on your site, that demonstrates the exact problem in real time.

Re: centering profile on posts.

See. I was right. :D By the way, I find browser add-ons like Stylish ( Firefox version ) or Stylus ( Firefox and Opera ) to be a handy way of playing with interface ideas. Unlike dev tools the results are persistent, if you want them to be, and can be toggled on and off easily. I currently have seve...

Re: centering profile on posts.

It is fairly readable, but a beginner might get themselves into trouble with events and IF's. But sure, perfect learning experience for those who are inclined to learn. :D Edit: The other thing is that once you start shuffling markup there may be some knock-on effects on responsiveness, just for add...

Re: centering profile on posts.

Sure, it's possible. You'll need to re-order things in the HTML though. The file is viewtopic_body.html and the postprofile code starts on Line 142 (of default file, unchanged). If you're familiar with HTML it should be fairly clear which chunks do what, and you can shuffle them to suit yourself. If...

Re: image in posting areas...

It this instance it doesn't greatly matter. Responsive.css loads last in most styles, so would be as good as any.

Don't worry, I'm pretty new here myself. They're a good crew and tolerant of n00bs., ;)

Re: Has anyone tried using script defer with phpBB?

I don't use Cloudflare. ;)
I don't have any problem coding the script tags. I'm just wondering if anyone has found pitfalls.

(And I see that Cloudflare doesn't know how to code a web page anyway. FFS people, putting a background on the body tag is CSS 101.)

Re: centering profile on posts.

content.css: .postprofile { margin: 5px 0 10px 0; min-height: 80px; border: 1px solid transparent; border-width: 0 0 0 1px; width: 22%; float: right; display: inline; } Add this: text-align: center; Then find this: .postprofile .avatar { display: block; float: left; max-width: 100%; } Change it to t...

Re: image in posting areas...

Add this to the end of any convenient CSS file:

Code: Select all

#message {
    background-image: url(path_to_your_image_goes_here) 100% 0 no-repeat;
}

Has anyone tried using script defer with phpBB?

Just wondering if anyone has messed around with deferred loading of external javascript files in phpBB? By this I don't mean sticking the tags at the end of the body tag (as per default) but putting the tags in the head and using the defer attribute on them. This seems to have some performance advan...

Re: [RC] Aero for phpBB 3.2.8

As for the logo issue, you could either make the logo longer which would push the description content down or in theme/common.css Find, .logo { float: left; width: auto; padding: 10px 13px 5px 0; } Add after .sitename { float: left; } If you want them stacking vertically why float either of them? F...

Re: [RC] Aero for phpBB 3.2.8

1) When I change colors, each browser has to be adjusted independently. Meaning that I had Firefox using Aero black, but Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome showed as the default blue; The user choice of colour is set by a cookie, and cookies are set in each browser, not on each computer. So no, you c...

Re: flip avatar <--> postbody to the other side

Oh I wasn't slagging anyone off as such. I was just pointing out a trick that might make it easier for someone if they wanted to swap some elements around. Particularly if they want to give people the option of having things either way. ;)

Re: flip avatar <--> postbody to the other side

Looking at how the RTL language support achieves this in prosilver's bidi.css, the key elements for "reverse the blocks" but without left-aligning the actual text seemed to be: .postbody, .postbody h3 { float: right; } .postprofile { border-width: 0 1px 0 0; float: left; /* text-align: right; */ } ...

Re: Vector svg icons from dark prosilver in default prosilver template

Not sure about the spacing to the edge. I know Christian did change some spacings for better typography, so he may have changed padding on that div. Best way to find out would be to check both styles in your browser's dev tools (F12 key, or Right click > Inspect element) and see what the CSS is sayi...
