Re: Getting the username

Greetings, I know that... but fliggerty wants to send the phpBB session information to a remote server so he can automate the Ajax chat login. Integrating phpBB with 'anything' else assumes your running them both on the same server otherwise there's a potential security issue with passing live sessi...

Re: Syntax Highlighter

Greetings, The error your getting is probably due to a problem with a language file (as in syntax) as the only time the mod loads GeSHi is if a language is specified... hence the reason for asking which one you used that resulted in the error. Using the tags: [syntax] [/syntax] will not include the ...

Re: PHP Notices and constants already defined

Greetings, In that case test for one of the constants if it's not defined include the file, if it is then don't... if (file_exists($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/constants_smartfeed.' . $phpEx) && !defined('SMARTFEED_NO_LIMIT_VALUE')) { include ($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/constants_smartfeed.' . $ph...

Re: Syntax Highlighter

Greetings,

Finally got it working with SubSilver 2, which turned out to be easier than I thought ;) see here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... #p10232525 for details.

Re: PHP Notices and constants already defined

Greetings,

Try turning DEBUG mode on in 'config.php', uncomment the line or both if your feeling brave ;) and then see what happens... you can put 'common.php' back the way it was.

Edit: Oh! and change include to include_once for the constants file

Re: Updating a Validated MOD

Greetings,

Thanks for that... perhaps something should be added to the policy pages about updates. It may be pretty straight forward or even a standard procedure but I couldn't find anything about updates and the things to do or not do etc.

Re: Getting the username

Greetings,
Fliggerty wrote:Is it possible to transfer the phpBB3 session to an entirely different site?
Why? The session info is only useful to phpBB.

If you want to only show the link you added to logged in users of the forum then wrap it in this:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN -->{U_GHF_CHAT}<!-- ENDIF -->

Re: Getting the username

Greetings,

append_sid adds the security id (for your current session) to the URL, but as your redirecting to another script (which isn't phpBB) then it's pointless adding it.

Updating a Validated MOD

Greetings, Couldn't find anything on this so thought I'd ask here. Is there a procedure to go through to get an update to a mod validated or is it just a case of resubmitting an update via the Manage section of the 'My Mods' page? With the recent validation of the Syntax Highlighter I also wondered ...
