How to run phpBB 2.0.22 in a frame, cell or layer?

I've been running 2.0.22 on two boards with no problems, but I'm still very much a novice. These two boards were simply uploaded to the server and run as "stand-along" boards. I'm also a novice with Dreamweaver, so I'm sure this is going to be an elementary question. I want to start another p...

Mark:
I changed activation back to User, since it wasn't working right. I've changed it back to Admin. now so it can be tested.

Thanks,
Chas.

There are 783 members and 31424 posts. I have to make one correction, apparently these backups did not have GZIP activated.

Backup file quadrupled in size

I run a small board using phpbb 2.0.21. The last two backups have generated huge files. The database on my board is 48.66 MB as of today and the backup file with GZip "on" was 36.14 MB on 7/16/06. Prior backup files were of similar sizes. Then for no apparent reason, the backup created on 7/17/06 wa...

2.0.20 Download problem

I've been trying for several hours to download 2.0.20. I keep getting an error message saying there was a problem with the download and to try a different mirror site, but that doesn't help.

Is anyone else having a problem?

Thanks,
Chas.

Robert: I just verified that neither of the boards are generating zipped backup files. Both have the same configuration, yet the board on TexasIDPA.com is still generating a backup file 2.5 times the size of the database. TexasCHLfourm did the same until late last month, but the configuration of bot...

Thanks for your help guys. I can't tell you how I hate to have to admit this, but I don't want anyone to read this and think there may be a problem with the software, so here it comes. When a person registers, they have to check one of three statements. One says they agree with the phpBB terms and t...

No changes have been made, since the last update to 2.0.17. Should try to reload 2.0.17 again?

This is when my extreme lack of knowledge really shows!

Thanks,
Chas.

Have I been hacked?

Starting today (I think), everyone trying to register on TexasCHLforum.com are getting an email asking for written parental consent! Here is the email I received when I registered under a bogus name. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions on a cure? Thanks, Chas. Welcome to TexasCHLforum.com F...
