Ghost thread?

I'm not sure how to tackle this problem. I have a thread that belongs in a specific forum, but does not show up in the topic list for that forum. Thread: http://www.kumoricon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2017 Forum: http://www.kumoricon.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=46 The only way I found this was throu...

I'm of the "if you don't like it, dont bother accessing the server" opinion. Everyone should take some responsibility for their actions, which includes covering your tracks if you're a paranoid lawbreaker or a freedom fighter. I'd point out the selection of paranoia-ware and anonymous web...

I was directed to download Textpad which helped me find the problem, and it appears I fixed it. Thanks.

just go back through the code changes you made for the mods, you have made a mistake on one and you will need to find the mistake and correct it. Well, yeah. The problem is I am not going to find the mistake on my own like that. I don't know PHP so I'm doing this blind. I had to install the ...

Syntax error on line 1154 (how do I find line 1154?)

Basically that. I tried to install two mods at once to stop spambot registrations, only one mod is somehow blocking all registrations with a syntax error. The two mods I installed, in case anyone is interested. But my immediate problem is finding the line that has the error. http://www.phpbb.com/php...

How have you combatted this argument before? I work with someone who holds this opinion, and we need him around so I can't just dismiss him as some crank, but I know he is massively wrong on this issue. I was able to help assuage him by pointing out the fact that he in fact can log in without using ...

Help! Topic reply notifications and split/moved threads

I need help with this urgently. A fight broke out in a public thread on my board, I split the offending posts out and moved them to a thread in a moderators-only forum. However, as moderators discussed the problem in the split thread, one of the offenders received a topic reply notification in his e...

Mod packs?

I've found phpBB extremely lacking in native features and also found it extremely difficult to install many mods on a phpBB board and make sure they all play nice together. That isn't to mention hunting through your mods database and testing to make sure a given mod actually still works when my boar...

I was just doing a search for the same thing! I have a little troll bumping topics as Guest, possibly from a proxy. It would be nice to block him.

I am impressed. Fortunately I have a small board (1782 topics) so the "OR" deal isn't an issue for me. However, I have the same problem as one other person: it doesn't lock topics with polls. How can I fix that?

Can't search the phpBB forums

I'm not sure where else to put this. I'm not having any problem with my own forums' search function, but with this one's. Even if I'm logged in it still tends to lose track of the search results, preventing me from getting any results beyond page 1. Help! Should I just make threads with all my quest...
