Re: phpBB benchmarking

heres about 1000 on the index (most being sub forums)
You should've stated this before... because 1000 forums is very very unusual and of course bogs the index down (and is already considered "unusual" usage).

Re: phpBB Testing with different RDBMS

As far as i know i am the only one (from the dev team) having all DBMS installed - of course i am unable to test the board in live situations with all DBMS. ;)

Re: phpBB benchmarking

Do you use a NFS share where phpBB is installed or for the cache directory? Have you tried to disable phpBB's cache or to profile the index page to determine where the most time is spent?

A board with 100k posts is still under the category "small board" if it comes to resources required. ;)

The freeforums.org official forum also lacks the footer notice: http://support.freeforums.org/ If the phpBB team and community wishes to avoid any association with sites that remove the phpBB copyright notice (as per the rules), I don't see why they would continue to promote FreeForum's services on...

Re: phpbb2 and security

Let's imagine that a serious exploitable vulnerability in phpBB2 was released to the public tomorrow. Even if we released a fix in an announcement, very few phpBB2 administrators will see it. They know that support for the software has been dropped, and nearly all phpBB2 resources have been removed...

To not let it interfere with other parameters (the & is the problem generally, which would be interpreted as additional parameter)

Re: Pbpbb has a legal department?

If it does not originate from an @phpbb.com address it is definately not from us. Also, we do not host any forum apart from *.phpbb.com, we also do not provide any hosting service. Additionally, no, we do not have a legal department. And if we enforce our rights we also add a signature to identify w...

Re: What's the difference between /en and /en_us?

We do not check other language packs, but do you say the german language pack uses de_du as path? Or to what you are referring and what do you want to see changed in the core language pack while preserving the directory name "en".
